McKenzie River Guides - MRGA Celebrating over 89 Years of Providing Quality River Trips & Protecting Our River Please donate to our special projects fund used only for river conservation.

The MRGA is active in restoration, clean-up, and environmental improvement of the McKenzie River. Our history of responsible river conservation began in 1931 and today we work hard to keep the McKenzie natural, pristine, and public. Help us keep the McKenzie clean, beautiful, and accessible to everyone.

All MRGA members and guests are invited to attend the grand opening of the “Anglers Roost” fly fishing book collection at the Leaburg Library next to McKenzie Fire and Rescue in Leaburg Saturday, December 10, 2-4 PM.

As many MRGA members know, Tom Ripp, a long-time MRGA Associate Member, has, over his lifetime, accumulated a world-class, nearly 500-volume collection of fly fishing literature. He’s donated that collection to Leaburg Library, where we’ve prepared a special room, “Angler’s Roost”, to house the collection. The “roost,” adorned with a Lynda Edwards mural, is a quiet place to browse, read and check out selected volumes as Tom wishes (with special accountability). Tom will give an overview of the collection at 2:00 PM in the MF&R Community Room—refreshments will follow there and at the library, where attendees can view the collection.
