Pride is a cultural concept in the LGBTQI community that represents solidarity, identity, and collectivity, as well as resistance to violence and discrimination. Pride Month is celebrated in June to honor the impact of LGBTQ+ people on history, and to recognize the 1969 Stonewall riots, which were a protest against police harassment of LGBTQ+ Americans.

Founding father of graffiti art PRIME will sit down with celebrated muralist MAN ONE, in a conversation moderated by Scott “Sourdough” Power, creator & publisher of indie arts media website NotRealArt.com.

Prime and Man One will talk about the birth of graffiti in LA and the influence of East Coast hip-hop; and they will share stories about wild childhoods painting the walls of LA, to what it means to be established artists navigating a world in which street art is a commodity.

Jointly presented by Helms Bakery District, SoCal NOMA and A+D Museum, as a part of the "Close to the Edge: The Birth of Hip-Hop Architecture" exhibition.

NOT REAL ART ended the fantastic PROJECTING POSSIBILITIES project hosted by Helms Bakery District in partnership with Culver Arts Foundation - a video installation featuring new art each week for 52 weeks, an entire year of rotating digital art exhibitions to celebrate and support Los Angeles based artists.

NOT REAL ART presented twice over the past year - each time featuring six amazing Grant Winners for 2020 and 2021 in association with Art Share-LA

Moondance Events & Travel, Inc. facilitated this synergistic collaboration between Not Real Art and Helms Design Center.
