As a first time cruiser, sometimes it’s easy to feel overwhelmed not knowing what to expect or what terms mean.

So, Here's a few to help you when booking your first cruise through us:

Starboard =right side

Port= left side

Aft=back of ship

Ship....its a ship, not a boat🤣🤣

Lido= main sun deck where pools and food generally is.

MDR= main dining room. Dinner service, brunch and table breakfast service

Tender = small boat that takes you from ship to shore when there is no pier (Half Moon Cay)

Embarkation = boarding ship on the first day!
~ All Aboard. The day you set sail.

Disembarkation = very sad day🤣🤣!
~ The day you return to the port.

- Some hotels have a shuttle, uber/lyft, cab, or Carnival Shuttle transport options for a small additional cost.
- It is recommended that you ask these questions upfront before reserving your hotel.

Find out how often the shuttles run?
- Is there a certain time rotation for their transport?

Do the Carnival Shuttle bus pick up from that hotel?

(FYI): Or, if you're coming into town on Monday, 2/19/24 - the Carnival Shuttle bus does pick up from Miami Airport for $23-$30 per person to transport you directly to the Port.
