Opening Weekend!
I’m super excited to kick off some weekends down at the ranch! As I said in the first email, opening weekend is April 5-6. Officially, the weekend is over on Saturday evening…I am not trying to take guys out of church on Sunday. Unofficially, guys can stay until Sunday afternoon.

• Access – in dry weather you DO NOT need four wheel drive, but high clearance is a must…the road is somewhat rocky. However, if we have wet weather, the road gets very slippery/muddy and four wheel drive is a must. I will update the group prior to the weekend.
• Camping – I will have room under roof for about a dozen guys on cots/sleeping pads (not provided). Feel free to bring a tent if want (watch out for ground cactus). Feel free to pull a trailer up if you have four wheel drive. Basically, bring what you need to camp in cold weather.
• Power – the ranch is still off grid. I have multiple generators for power if need by. If you need something else, bring it.
• Water – eventually, there will be a water tower/cistern. The first weekend, bring your own water.
• Food – bring what you want to grill for Friday night, along with any other food you want. I will provide bacon and eggs for breakfast on Saturday morning. All other food and drink is on your own. I will have a grill down there (you can also bring one if you want).
• Guns – I’m checking on county/property regulations, but I believe we can set up a gun range and shoot. I have plent of room for one. Bring them if you want.
• Cost – nothing. I know…some of the guys are telling me to have a bucket for people to throw money in. If I do, there is no obligation. This isn’t supposed to be a money maker. It is purely for enjoyment.
• Rules: There are only three…
o Have fun. Hang out with other men (no boys).
o You won’t agree with everyone or everything…that is ok. Your journey is yours. Another man’s journey is his. Love the guy next to you.
o Drink (etc.) but don’t be stupid.
