I often get asked "What is the best age to visit Disney World"?

That can be hard to answer because there are several things to consider and everyone's kids are different.

The two most important factors for parents are:
* Will my kid(s) remember their trip?
* Will they believe in the magic and the characters?

Other things to consider are:
*Do you want to push a stroller around the parks?
*How do your kids handle a change in their schedule?
*Do you plan to spend all day at the parks or are you okay taking breaks?
*Will they be tall enough to ride what they want to ride?
*How will they be waiting in line?
*Do you plan on vacationing at Disney World again?

I've visited Disney World with kids from age 2.5 up and find that ages 5-7 tend to be the sweet spot of remembering and believing. For our most recent trip, my kids were 5 and newly 8. My daughter (5) didn't need a stroller, could ride the majority of attractions, and loved the characters. My son (8) wasn't as into characters as he was at 5, but still wanted a character meal and had an autograph book. They both walked the parks with few complaints, had opinions on what they wanted to see/do and overall it was a more memorable trip for us than their first at ages 2.5 and 5.

Don't get me wrong, kids (and adults) of all ages still feel the magic when meeting characters and enjoying the parks. My first trip was at age 11 (my sisters were 9,14 and 16) and I remember the magical feeling of walking into Magic Kingdom, seeing the castle and meeting Mickey for the first time.

When you're ready to plan your vacation, I'm here to help! There are some fabulous specials for this Spring and Summer available to book now. If you're thinking 2026, let me know - packages usually open in June (last year they did open in late February) and it's not to early to start planning.

Who saw the MSC Cruises commercial during the Super Bowl?

My son (who loves to cruise) was bouncing on the couch when he saw it 😁

MSC World America featured in this ad sets sail from Miami this April! This brand new ship has many amazing features for a memorable holiday.

Another MSC ship, Meraviglia, is popular ship with several of my clients. Sailing from Brooklyn, NY makes it a great choice for us in the Northeast.

My work as your travel advisor doesn’t just end the moment you depart. The truth is I’m always in the periphery for my clients in case of questions or emergencies — or if you simply want to send a text to say just how great the margaritas are by the pool. I’m along for this ride with you!

Have you ever seen stalactites up close? These incredible formations hang like nature’s chandeliers in many of Mexico’s cenotes. Exploring and swimming in a cenote with my sister is one of my favorite cruise memories.

Have you or would you explore a cave with these beauties?

There are many places and ways to snorkel in the Mexican Caribbean! One of the best (and little known) areas is the part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, which has great visibility and the chance to see lobster, turtles, sting rays and many colorful fish.

Have you been snorkeling off resort before in the area? Where did you go snorkeling and what did you see?

Can you believe summer is just around the corner? My kids celebrated their 100th day of school yesterday. Now is the time to get your summer vacations booked if you haven't already.

The closer we get to summer, the less availability there will be on cruises, at all-inclusive resorts and at Disney. If you have specific dates you need to travel or a specific resort/cruise ship/itinerary you want go on, it is even more important to book sooner rather than later. Plus less availability means the cost goes up.

Have you planned your summer vacation yet? Let me know in the comments.

If not, I'd love to help. Just send me an email and we can get started on planning a magical summer vacation!

It's National Take A Cruise Day! And while I'm not cruising today 🥲, I do have clients cruising this week and every week this month. Maybe I'll change it to Take A Cruise Month 😄

This week's clients are sailing on the Disney Fantasy and Oasis of the Seas.

Aboard the Disney Fantasy, a family will be enjoying live shows including Frozen - a Musical Spectacular, rotating through 3 delicious dining venues, sliding down the AquaDuck and meeting a lot of characters. Plus they are stopping at both of Disney Cruise Lines private destinations - Castaway Cay & Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.

It's a multi-generational cruise for the family sailing on fan favorite Oasis of the Seas. They'll be making memories in Falmouth, Jamaica and in Royal Caribbean's private destination, Labadee. Onboard they'll enjoy Splashaway Bay, the Ultimate Abyss, Adventure Ocean, a variety of dining options (including my favorite El Loco Fresh), fantastic entertainment like the Broadway show Cats and a lot more.

Cruising makes an amazing vacation with something for everyone! Are you ready to take a cruise? I'm here to help!

I shared a little about our first character meal yesterday at Garden Grill. Our daughter had a harder time deciding which characters she wanted to dine with. Eventually she chose Wish Makers Enchanted Dining at 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian Resort for our second.

✨ Wish Makers Enchanted Dining at 1900 Park Fare
*Features Mirabel, Cinderella, Princess Tiana in her Bayou outfit and Aladdin in his prince outfit
*Kids receive a card to write a wish on and there are wish-making ceremonies periodically
*Serves Breakfast & Dinner all you care to eat buffet style
*Breakfast menu includes eggs benedict, carved ham, Mickey waffles, pancakes, cheesy scrambled eggs, bacon, grits and more
*Dinner menu includes gumbo, prime rib, salmon, mashed potatoes, green beans, shrimp and more

Why we loved it:
*The characters got our kids involved in conversations. Mirabel noticed my daughter's Encanto sweatshirt which had her sisters on it, and said they had just had a girls night and would she like to come to the next one. This got a big grin from her. Tiana and my son discussed gumbo.
*The Strawberry Soup - it was as good as advertised
*Monorail ride from Magic Kingdom

A character meal can be a great way to start the day, break up your park day or end it on a magical note. There are many character meals to choose from and I am here to help my clients find the best one(s) for them and get it booked. Are you ready to plan your Disney World vacation?

For me, character dining is a must-do at least once on a Disney World vacation. You get to enjoy a meal and the characters come to you instead of waiting in line to see them. The whole meal has an excitement as you wait to see the characters. On our trip to Disney World last week, each of my kids was allowed to choose a character meal. For our first meal my son chose Chip 'n' Dale Harvest Feast at Garden Grill in Epcot. We had dined here on our last trip and he loved it. He was not interested in going anywhere else.

✨Chip 'n' Dale Harvest Feast at Garden Grill
*Features Chip, Dale, Farmer Mickey and Pluto
*Restaurant slowly rotates through scenes from the Living with the Land Attraction
*Serves Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner all you care to eat family style
*Lunch & Dinner menu includes roast turkey, grilled steak, mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese, green beans, salad, cornbread, seasonal vegetables & dessert

Why we love it:
*During both our visits the characters have come around more than once and it doesn't feel rushed.
*The grilled steak - it was the table favorite and we have since made a copycat version at home
*It rotates so the scenery is always changing

Ready for help planning your Disney World vacation? One of the many things I help clients with is booking dining. I make recommendations based on the food they like, characters they want to meet, what park they'll be going to, personal experience etc.

Grand Avenue Impacts Begin May 10 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

There are a lot of new adventures planned at Disney’s Hollywood Studios – from monsters and mermaids to villains and more. There’s huge excitement around the new Monsters, Inc-themed land and more details were shared today about timelines for that area of the park.

Construction on the land is ready to begin and progress walls begin installation in the area before the end of March. This means that Cast at Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano will serve their final Guests on May 10.

As for Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo, Guests will have some additional time to enjoy these areas as we kick-off a glorious 5-month finale before these areas have their final curtain call on June 7.

It’s no secret that the Muppets have a special place in our hearts and we are exploring ways to preserve the Muppet*Vision 3D film and other parts of the experience for generations to come. And don’t forget! Kermit, Miss Piggy and friends are soon headed just across the park to their new home on Sunset Boulevard. More to come about that timeline.

Stay tuned for more details in the future.

✨✨✨✨

So glad I got to experience Muppet Vision 3D on our recent trip! It's always been a favorite. If you'd like to see the Muppets before their final curtain call in June, there's still time! Let's start planning your trip:
