🧡🩵💙 Wackadoo! Hey, fellow Bluey fans: Disney has just announced that Bluey will be arriving at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort on land and Disney Cruise Line at sea beginning next year!

🏡 Beginning in January 2025 onboard Disney Cruise Line voyages originating from Australia and New Zealand, families can interact with Bluey and her sister, Bingo, like never before. From special meet-and-greets to an interactive and clue-filled game that ends in a dance party featuring Bluey’s signature moves, families in the region can embark on a magical holiday with their favorite blue heeler.

The producers of “Bluey” over at Ludo Studio are working closely alongside BBC Studios and Disney on a number of special activities. Stay tuned for more details about how you and your kiddos can meet Bluey and her family at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort!

Today, in honor of Small Business Saturday, I wanted to say thank you.

I am especially thankful for the support of my friends, family, and clients, whether by interacting on my social media pages, booking vacations with me, or referring your friends and family to me. It’s because of you I was named Best Travel Agency in Southington in 2022 and 2023, and earned second runner-up for Best Travel Agency in Central Connecticut in 2024. That means the world.

This holiday season, I’ve been dreading the anticipation of more toys coming into our house. With two kids, the clutter piles up quickly, especially with our youngest now firmly in toddlerhood. And it’s not helpful to them, either - the more toys kids have, the more overwhelmed they can feel and it’s easier to lose the motivation to start playing.

That’s what I love about giving experience-based gifts - the memories made will last far longer than a new toy.

I’ve been a little quiet around here lately. Life has been so busy and stressful that posting to social media on a regular basis kind of fell to the wayside.

Earlier this year, in the immediate aftermath of his cancer diagnosis, my husband and I booked a weekend staycation in Litchfield, CT, just the two of us. Having something to look forward to later in the year got us through the initial barrage of doctor’s appointments, surgery prep and recovery, and mental load of managing life with two kids and scary medical stuff.

I grew up in Connecticut but haven’t really explored my home state very much as an adult. After this weekend, Litchfield County has quickly become one of my favorite areas. Even with the trees bare and leaf peeping season over, the bucolic landscape is dotted with family farms, amazing local restaurants and cafes, and unique shops.

We stayed at The Litchfield Inn, in one of their bespoke rooms. The location put us less than five minutes from the town green shopping and dining district, and an easy drive to other nearby towns - including Washington Depot, the town widely accepted to have inspired Amy Sherman Palladino to create Gilmore Girls. We toured Litchfield Distillery, a bucket list item of my husband’s for years now, and visited Thorncrest Farm and Milk House Chocolate, which has easily become the best chocolate I’ve ever had. We enjoyed meals at At The Corner, Market Place Tavern at The Old Litchfield Jail, and The White Horse Country Pub, and all three offered some of the best food I’ve ever had. We spent our downtime at the inn’s lounge, reading in front of the fireplace with coffee from Espresso59. It was the perfect way to rest and recharge after a chaotic few months and intense year.

While I’m happy to be home with my girls this afternoon, Nate and I are already talking about when we might be able to return to Litchfield and check more items off our must-do list. We can’t wait to head back, and also to plan more weekends to explore other Connecticut towns!

In 2022 and 2023, you voted Fantastical Vacations by Jordan the Best Travel Agency in Southington in the Record-Journal’s Best Of awards. This year, the contest was consolidated into the regional Readers’ Choice awards, and this weekend the results were posted.

Of all the businesses who made the final cut, I’m the one of two independent agents. While I’m part of a larger team over at Fantastical Vacations, a team that 100% has my back and is such an amazing resource to ensure my clients get the best service, the day-to-day of meeting with clients, booking vacations, planning itineraries, and answering questions is all handled by me.
