Only 6/10 mile to family favorite warm water Ridgevale Beach, custom West Chatham home, on a private cul-de-sac in a quiet residential area, comprised exclusively of private single-family homes with paved roads and underground telephone, cable, and electric lines. It overlooks Cockle Creek and tidal salt marsh inlet of Nantucket Sound between Ridgevale and Cockle Cove beaches. Ridgevale Beach is across the tidal inlet from popular Harding’s Beach.

A day-light lower level provides second comfortable sitting or TV viewing area and open activity area with games, ping pong, air hockey, and bumper pool. Sliding door from the lower level to the patio area under the deck with a hot shower. Separate enclosed laundry room equipped with large capacity washer and dryer, iron, drying racks, and ironing board. We supply laundry detergent, bleach, and fabric softener. Lines for fresh air drying are located in the patio area. The layout of the house is very comfortable. Two full bathrooms (tub with shower) and three bedrooms located on the main floor of the home. Master bedroom with king bed is located at the rear of the home with an adjoining master bath. Two guest bedrooms (one X-Long twin beds, one twin beds) are located at the front of the house. The main bathroom is located off the central hall near guest bedrooms. We provide bed linens, extra pillows, blankets, and bath towels. There are two (2) steps at the main entrance to the main level of the home. You step directly from the dining area onto expansive two-level mahogany the deck. Wide gradual steps lead from the main deck to a lower deck and then onto the private yard or to the patio area under the main deck. We provide local telephone service, extended cable television service, broadband wireless Internet (WI-FI) service, a propane gas grill for outdoor cooking, rubbish pickup, and professional lawn maintenance. Our home is situated with a Southern view overlooking Cockle Creek and the tidal salt marsh between Ridgevale and Cockle Cove Beaches. Although you may access Cockle Creek directly from our property and would be able to kayak or canoe to the ocean, Cockle Creek winds through the tidal salt marsh. Since the water depth depends upon the tide, we would recommend that a kayak or canoe would be launched from the inlet at Ridgevale beach. There are several web sites for local area boat rentals. Our home is located less than one (1) mile from the bicycle trail and is 6/10 mile to warm water Ridgevale beach (between Hardings Beach and Cockle Cove Beach) on Nantucket Sound. Ample parking is available at this and several other Chatham beaches. The Town of Chatham is located on the elbow of Cape Cod. Our home and Ridgevale Beach are located on the South Coast of Chatham on the Eastern End of Nantucket Sound. The Atlantic Ocean is on the East Coast of Chatham. We provide equipment for quests to use at the beach, including beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, and a cooler on wheels. We believe that the location of our home offers proximity to a variety of attractions and activities for all ages. Chatham offers a central location from which to begin touring Cape Cod. We are less than 1 mile from a Park and Ride lot at the bicycle trail that winds through Cape towns of Harwich, Orleans, and Eastham. Nearby Chatham Municipal Airport hosts small planes that offer excursion rides. We're 5 miles to the fast ferry from Harwich to Nantucket Island; 30 miles to the Steamship Authority Ferry from Hyannis to Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket; about 45 miles to the Island Queen Ferry from Falmouth to Martha's Vineyard. Our home is furnished and well equipped for your comfort and enjoyment. We provide Broadband Wireless Internet, expanded cable HDTV TV (on main and lower levels), expanded cable television (wide selection of channels), large propane gas grill (with extra tank) for outdoor cooking, rubbish pickup, and professional lawn maintenance. Additional equipment includes; stereo CD player, portable telephones, automatic telephone answering machine, and clock radio in each bedroom. Our home does not have a central air conditioning system. There is also a portable a/c unit. A dehumidifier/evaporator is installed in the lower level to automatically measure and evaporate humidity. The open living/dining area has a ceiling fan. An automatic exhaust fan is installed in the attic. We provide additional box, window, and portable fans. Although days on Cape Cod can be hot and humid in July, due to our home’s location and proximity to Nantucket Sound, we normally benefit from a constant direct offshore breeze from Nantucket Sound which provides good air circulation and cooling. Tenants have reported that AC was not needed. We manage our rental directly with tenants and do not utilize a third-party property manager or agent.
