We worked hard this week to put tongue and groove knotty pine up on the porch ceiling. The birds were building nests in the rafters so we decided to do it sooner rather than later. For the couple open days this week we hope to apply varnish. Have a great week!

We’re so fortunate to have our cabin being enjoyed by so many great guests! The only downside is that we don’t get time there to work to improve it! The current project is to improve the drainage on the road side of the cabin. We hope to have that completed this week!

Last night we added a storage shed to keep the co****le boards and any other outdoor items that we want to keep out of the weather! We also acquired a picnic table and 3 trees this past week!

Work continues on the drainage above the cabin on the road side. We have big plans for that area that will likely take time to realize. Despite being a great place for a getaway as stands currently, it will always be a work in progress.

We spent the night at the cabin since it was open this weekend. Last night we made some mango margaritas, played games in front of the fireplace, slept in, and then spent lunchtime with our friends from Screech Owl Brewing - just a few minutes drive from Appalachian Haven.
