I love Central Park on the Oasis class ships! Yesterday we had our door open because we are in a central park balcony room. We were just listening to the beautiful music being played 🙂. These rooms are a great alternative to the ocean view balcony rooms.

Today was spent in Nassau!
It was a hot day for walking but still fun to see the sights!
Queens staircase, NAMB, Piña Coladas at John Watlings, Junkanoo beach to watch the storm come in and then some shopping where I finally found my new sun shirt!

The cabanas are beautiful and spacious and all are in great locations.
My favorite spot so far has been the "On The Rocks" bar. Played some shuffle board and pool, grabbed a coconut mojito and strawberry daiquiri and enjoying the talented "on the rocks band".

We always seem to be a day behind in posting!! Just so much fun to be had onboard!
We made it onto the Allure of the Seas!
This is our second experience on this Oasis Class ship! For this vacation we opted to book a Central Park View Balcony room.
What we all accomplished today:
- Booked three next cruise reservations and got a bottle of champagne! 🍾
- visited the dining host stand to set up our reservations for our dining package
- grabbed our cups for the refreshment package and enjoyed a coffee!
- sat on the aft by the Wipe Out Bar and watched the Independence of the Seas leave port and two Carnival ships!
- Dinner at Samba Grille (fantastic!)
- Viewed the Blue Planet performance in the Amber Theater!
So much enjoyed during the short amount of time yesterday. Now onto a great day at Perfect Day Coco Cay!

Yesterday we
🚗 Drove around Key West
🥪 Parked at the Truman Annex park and walked to get lunch
☕ Coffee at the Cuban Coffee Queen. If you've never been I highly recommend it. Try the Cortadito.
🥾 After a small amount of shopping we explored Fort Zachary Taylor. It was a really well kept historic site.
There is a small entrance fee. There is a beach area with a snack shed and restrooms as well.
We spent some time swimming. In general this beach is a little on the rockier side.
🌮 Then back to the hotel to enjoy the food truck and pool!!
Today we are underway to get to our first cruise departure in Miami!

We have such a nice room at the Havana Cabana in Key West. We always recommend traveling 1-2 days prior to your cruise. It is so much fun to explore and you ensure you don't miss your ship due to a flight delay or cancellation!

We are heading on not one.... but TWO Royal Caribbean cruises!
To start the vacation we are enjoying two nights in Key West!
We flew directly into Key West this afternoon, picked up our rental car and checked into our hotel!
🥳 We got a free upgrade from a compact car to a Mustang 🐎 so that was a great surprise!
🛌 We are staying at the Havana Cabana in Key West for two nights. This is a cute boutique hotel on the northern part of Key West. They offer a nice shuttle to the downtown area and the more popular old town. This is turning into an adults only area in October!
A nice walk on down to the park and then out for dinner later this evening!

Early morning hike up to Clingmans Dome to catch the sunrise.
It was an amazing moment as the sun began to peak over the mountains. Everyone viewing became silent and enjoyed the beauty of a new day starting.
This hike is a nice paved hike and ends with a walk up a historic viewing tower! Definitely a great one to put on the list if your visiting the Smokies!

We rented a cabin in the woods for our whole extended family time to enjoy time together!

Let me just start out by saying, “I am so thankful.” I have a wonderful caring wife, 3 beautiful children, a career that I could not enjoy more, an opportunity to help other families plan their vacations and a roof over our heads. However, I could not be where I am today without the support and love of my parents and the rest of my family.
Growing up there were two things that I loved the most, using my imagination and playing sports. My dad worked hard so we could have all the necessities in our lives and grow up healthy. He works in the construction field. I learned a lot from my dad. The number one thing I learned from him is to never give up and work hard every day for what you want in life. Being in construction, my dad had some tough times and would get laid off from work when there was no work to go around. However, that never stopped my dad. He always picked himself up and was out on the streets the very next day at an interview or driving around town submitting applications. My passion in high school was working for my Village’s Park & Recreation Department working with kids in the various programs. Seeing the impact I could make in a child’s life lead me to become a Parks, Recreation, & Forestry Director.
It is so important for people to get outside and spend time in a park, a forest, the lake, the ocean, on top of a mountain, or simply in your backyard. I love working with children and families and seeing them grow. By watching my dad, I was able to learn to work hard and never give up on the dreams that you have. I am always looking for ways to improve and learn more.
Then there was my mother. She has worked so hard in her life so we could have all the extra experiences. My mother worked overtime. She had a part-time job at a retail store and a full-time job as a mother raising 4 boys. She did all of this so we could sign up for sports, activities, and extra events. She also saved that money for a yearly family vacation. It is so important to my parents that we spend quality time together as a family. This is where my second career passion comes into play. I am a kid at heart and I still love imagination. What better place to be a kid and use you imagination than Disney World. Every other year my parents would pack the mini-van (yes 4 boys and 2 parents on a 2 day 21 hour drive) and drive down to Disney World. I love driving with my kids still to this day. Its an ADVENTURE. When you a traveling, don't just think of the destination but also the journey.
I grew up with Disney World. It is a place that you can get lost in and truly be together as a family exploring. I even leave my work cellphone at home! Technology is a wonderful thing but don't forget to unplug. Try it on your next vacation. I promise you will not regret it. On the last vacation you took, do you remember that text you sent to your friend, the score of the game, or the latest gossip at the time that you found while browsing your phone? Probably not! However, you do remember the smile on your daughters face, the excited laugh of your son as he is having a lightsaber battle with you in the middle of Magic Kingdom, kissing your wife after a long day in the sun, and that time you went on Space Mountain 5 times in a row at 1 am with your 6 year old daughter. See I remember that! If you ask my daughter what her favorite memory of Disney World is I bet you can guess what her answer would be.
In 2015, my mother surprised our whole family (all 12 of us). We were going to go on a family vacation. It had been over 15 years since I had gone on a trip with all my older brothers. It was also my children's first time at Disney World. It was also this trip that I knew I wanted to help others experience this same excitement and family interaction. In July of 2018, I joined Marvelous Mouse Travels as a travel agent. I specialize in all things Disney. This includes Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruises, Adventures by Disney, and Aluani. I also help plan trips to Universal Orlando, Legoland, Sea World, Bush Gardens, and the Orlando area.
