Coral is a professionally-trained Tour Guide/Director with a Ph.D. Born and raised in Taiwan, she speaks English, Mandarin Chinese, and Taiwanese. She was trained by internationally known ITMI (International Tour Management Institute). She is also a Certified Tourism Ambassador of Cincinnati who cannot wait to show you around the city and create an unforgettable experience in your lifetime. Coral

is currently a freelance tour guide/director. She would like to invite YOU--the savvy and adventurous guests--to travel with her! She would like to create a tour--small or large, short or long--customized just for you! Whatever you are interested in—history, culture, nature, people, architecture, art, museum, food, etc—you are going to have a great time! Congratulations on myself! I just completed my professional 40 hours Domestic Violence Training. Now I feel more “legitimate” in the non-profit DV services industry! My organization KAN-WIN is composed of Asian American women from various countries, including the U.S., Korea, Taiwan, and Mongolia. We are a group of women of professionalism and compassion! My role is to advocate for KAN-WIN’s services and most importantly, for DV prevention awareness.

Pay homage to Black Hawk (1767-1838), a Sauk war leader who fought against American expansion in the first half of the 19th century. Very lucky that I had a chance to visit the place where he was born (today’s Rock Island, IL) and the region (mainly Apple River Fort in the Galena, IL area) where he started the Black Hawk War. 🖖

Well, “machine in the garden” conceptualized perfectly in this world famous agricultural machine inventing and manufacturing company—Deere & Company. The headquarter building (1964) was designed by Finnish American architect Eero Saarinen, the same architect that designed St Louis’ the Gateway Arch and JFK airport’s TWA (now a chic hotel!). This COR-TEN steel (weathering steel)-structured building complex is beautifully embedded in the lush forest in Moline, Illinois. Love this place！❤️🏭🌳

The officer who interviewed me and issued me the permit smiled when I was being taken a photo for the permit. I guess he found me funny as a tourist... 😆

First time visiting a Native American mound group—the Aiken Mound Group. It is around the Galena, IL area along the Mississippi River. What intrigued me the most is the “effigy mound.” I spent almost 1.5 hours hiking and “mound-seeking” in that area. I did find the “Thunder Bird Effigy Mound” (as the marker shows) although I could not really see the effigy. I walked around it and imagined what I was looking at. Thanks Google’s aerial map and wow... it is really a thunder bird!!! 😃😃😃
