Another killer day on the canals. I really appreciate my clients like @brianmaxwellkern who came back up from Miami to slay canal dragons again. Found the big boys today. 5 males over 10 pounds and a total of 24 invasive iguanas removed. As always we used our @airventuri Avengers from @palmbeachairguns DM @iguanasafaritours to book your charter with Capt Mati. From now until the end of August I’m running a weekday special price of $375 for the 4 hour charter.
This crew said they all wanted a dragon, and they all got one, and they even let me get one 😂 I grabbed mine out of the bushes, and he gave me a solid tail smack right to my family jewels. Let’s just say the teenage boys appreciated it more than I did. Afterwards I called up @chefraffie to come grab these iguanas for his culinary school class. He cooked them up a delicious meal- slow roast iguana with white wine and capers. He also dehydrated the eggs to make a Venezuelan delicacy that is perfectly paired with a cold beer.
Happy Easter! Down here we do Easter egg hunts a little different. But seriously, this shows the insane number of babies that one female iguana can have- we counted 43 eggs just in this one brood. And, she can lay eggs 2-3 times a year. If we don’t stop these animals from breeding, there will be nothing left in south Florida except for iguanas.
We were trying to do some educational videos but I gotta a little distracted #invasiveiguanas
The secret canal has yet to disappoint. Keith and Jess came all the way down from NY to experience some true Florida sh*t. They were determined to break the boat record and they did- with 35 invasive iguanas removed. Including some massive male canal dragons. DM us to book your next adventure.
