Lisa brings the mindfulness of her studies and practices of yoga, meditation, and massage to her work as both a yoga instructor and a massage practitioner. In teaching yoga, she emphasizes the understanding of Yoga, the union of the Mind, the Body, and the Spirit at the experiential level. Her classes require determination and are focused on increasing strength, balance, flexibility, and deepening

the connection with the breath. Lisa’s massage techniques include Thai Massage, Shiatsu, Traditional Anma massage, Lotus Hands, Swedish, Acupressure, Reflexology, and Polarity. Lisa is a very hands-on yoga teacher as she applies what she learns in massage to the mat and is client-oriented in her approach to massage. Her massage sessions are based on the various modalities that she has studied and her understanding of body assessment through her years of teaching yoga.

My Yin Yoga Series Course starts Monday!
Regardless if you are looking to shift a habit on a physical, mental, or emotional level, I believe yoga can help… Our habits that we wish to change are there for a reason. We developed them to help us cope with life’s challenges. Even if they are not “good” habits, they have served a function. Being curious about that function and having compassion towards ourselves sheds light on why they are there… When they remain in our dark places, it is hard to truly see what is needed for sustainable change.

Happy New Year! What do you hope to be different in 2024?

In setting resolutions it is important to remember that our “bad” habits that we hope to change are there for a reason. They are coping strategies used to comfort us so merely ripping them out without understanding their function and developing other ways to comfort ourselves rarely works…

To create sustainable progress, looking at core wounds is frequently helpful. To try and assist this process I am offering a 5 class Yin Yoga Series on Zoom Mondays and Wednesdays at 8am PST 1/8-1/22.

Yin Yoga is gentle and contemplative and unlike restorative and gentle yoga its focus is on acupuncture meridians and organ systems. In Chinese medicine, they link the various organ systems with the elements. Is the fire in the heart so different from the blazing warmth of a physical fire?

Needing to up the self-care before the holidays? Consider my 3 class Zoom yoga series. Class starts tomorrow 8am PST. Your pets can join!


I will be offering a 3 class Zoom yoga series to help you feel grounded and better in your body. Classes will be from 8-9am PST as follows:

Monday 12/11 Gentle/Yin Yoga
Wednesday 12/13 Vinyasa Flow
Monday 12/18 Align and Flow

The entire series is $60 or you can sign up for individual classes for $25/class. Registration is required one hour before class starts. Modifications will be given and as always what is most important is listening to your body.

Hi All!

I am elated to have just graduated from my clinical master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy Program. As many of you know, I plan to move to Lisbon where I hope to offer mental telehealth to people in California, therapy for expats in Lisbon (and perhaps in other areas of Europe depending on regulations), and continuing to offer yoga classes and massage and bodywork.

Suppressing emotions or not acknowledging them does not help. Anger, sadness, and fear are a part of the human experience. Not dealing with them allows them to limit us. They can be powerful indicators of boundary violations and a need for change. We do not need to identify with them as who we are or react to them in harmful ways, but pushing them away or expecting them not to occur is not helpful.

Arthritis and disc conditions are so common and a working on alignment and joint functionality can help. Yes we might be slowly falling apart ha ha, but one of these diagnoses does not necessarily mean an end to movement or inability to decrease pain without surgery or medication… Some deterioration that is experienced is due to the belief that nothing can be done to help so people stop moving, exercising, and challenging their bodies making it a self-fulfilling prophecy…
