We would like to introduce our new Wilderness Medicine Instructor, Blake Douglas.
Blake has over 15 years experience in mountaineering, backpacking, ice climbing, rock climbing, canyoneering, and wilderness survival. He has been teaching science and first responder for 8 years. He is a member of the Riverside Mountain Rescue Team. He has received the “Golden Carabiner” award twice for exceptional service. He has received the “Life Saving” award from RMRU as well. Welcome to the team Blake!

Our last scheduled guided climbing trip for the foreseeable future. We climbed, rappelled, built anchors, and most importantly had fun. Thank you for putting together this trip. I had a blast!

3-13-2021 - Avalanches happen in our local mountains. BEACON, PROBE, SHOVEL. Know how to use them. Mt. Baldy incident has (15) people caught with several significant injuries. Check for more information. If you see or are involved in an avalanche is our local mountains please report it ASAP to

3-13-2021 Avalanche on Mt. Baldy. SBSD SAR was called out for an injured hiker caught in an avalanche. The hiker was assisted to a waiting ambulance and no other injuries were reported. Please remember to always have your Beacon, Probe, and Shovel. With the recent winter weather and the upcoming anticipated precipitation the conditions are always changing.
