We are looking for 4 motivated individuals to join our groundskeeping team this summer! Duties include mowing and other tasks to help keep our school grounds in top shape. 🌿🏡

🔹 Position: Temporary Summer Groundskeeper
🔹18yrs old and above. Must have GED/Diploma.
🔹 Pay: $15 per hour
🔹 Duration: Summer 2024
🔹 Responsibilities: Mowing, landscaping, and general grounds maintenance

Attention Seniors: Diploma Pickup Information

Senior diplomas for the 2023-2024 academic year are now ready for pick up at the Student Accounting Office at PHS. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Please note that PHS will be closed June 24th-28th and July 1st-5th, as well as on Fridays throughout the summer.

We would like to inform our community that our Boys Athletic Director/ Head Football Coach, Johnthan Haddock, has accepted a new position at another district. While we are saddened to see him go, we are incredibly proud of his achievements and grateful for his exceptional leadership and dedication to our athletic programs and football team. We wish his family and him all the best in their future endeavors and next role.

Coach Haddock shared a few words about his departure:
"My family and I would like to thank Dr. Sanchez, the board of trustees, and the city of Plainview for allowing me to serve as your Head Football Coach over the past 4 years. It has truly been a blessing to apart of the Plainview community. Plainview will always hold a special place in our hearts! As we depart we are excited about our new opportunity but also sad about saying goodbye. We wish the Bulldogs nothing but the best!"

While in the search of a new head coach, the district has appointed Coach Wyatt Martinez as the interim head coach. Coach Martinez brings a wealth of experience, relationships with our students, and a passion for sports that we believe will guide our department through this transition period.

Coach Martinez will continue to run all summer workouts and practices. He will also ensure that our football team will be prepared for the upcoming school year. Also, Coach Alfaro, our current Girls Athletic Director, will assume all responsibilities for leading our athletic department. Coach Alfaro will work with and support all coaches in all sports, both boys and girls, to ensure they have what they need to compete and succeed in our expanded 10 team district!

We appreciate your support as we navigate this change and continue to strive for excellence both on and off the field. Let's rally behind Coach Martinez, Coach Alfaro, and our athletics department, showcasing our unwavering Bulldog Pride!

Due to the forecast weather from this morning. The Bulldog Soccer Camp Monday session for the incoming 6th graders thru 9th grade will be rescheduled for:
Thursday, June 13th from 10:00AM to 12:00PM.
If you are still needing to sign up your child in that age group, you will be able to do so tomorrow morning, as sessions will resume as scheduled.

Amazing things are happening for our PHS Bulldogs Tennis Team program. They began camp last week and will continue next week for the older students.

Plainview High School tennis camps are underway as the players try to sustain the program's recent success.

*Summer Feeding Dates: June 3rd – June 28th*

🏫 Central Elementary:

*Summer Feeding Dates: May 28th – July 9th*

Plainview ISD applied for the LEDA/Workforce Commission grant this school year. We received notification in March that our grant request was accepted, and received a donation of $10,000 from the Plainview/Hale County Economic Development Corporation (EDC)!
