Did you know that we have a life size Japanese internment camp model here in Denver? I was surprised to learn Colorado had one of these horrible camps in our borders 😥. History can teach you some cruel lessons. I would highly recommend checking this out at the center.

Oh this book! So, so, so good ❤️ This story was amazing. Translated from French, it also showed a window into French culture that I haven’t seen before. I am not usually a fan of fiction. I don’t finish a lot of the fiction that I pick up, but I could not put this book down. I also found a career option in cemetery keeping. I think I would really like it 🤣

Yesterday we participated in some Olympic sports at YMCA of the Rockies. First up was the biathlon. When I was a kid, and still now biathlon athletes were my favorite. It was fun to try out and get skunked by my son 🤣 We also got to play broom ball. Our family was on one team. Watching all of that hockey paid off! We had a blast. My knees, not so much.

We are celebrating with Longevity Noodles. I hope they help, I just got my cholesterol labs back 🤦🏻‍♀️
The boys go to a Chinese immersion school, so we try to celebrate with them. They think we should celebrate like the Chinese and have a couple weeks off 🤣 Nice try kids, but you do get a snow day tomorrow. Tonight though is Boy Scouts!

Celebrating the closing sale on our first commercial space. In 2009 my then boyfriend and I opened a dental office. Even though we were counseled to rent the space we instead bought it. It just made sense. It turned out to be a great decision. After selling the practice we rented to the practice buyer for a few years. It was a pretty good gig. We decided we wanted to go bigger. Thanks to a 1031 exchange we are now under contract for a 10 plex. It is amazing how one decision 13 years ago can affect your life so much.

Book number two. Richest Man in Babylon. This book has always been on the list of top financial books to read. It has even been called the most inspiring book on wealth ever written! I’m not sure I would go that far. I have read a lot of books on building wealth and I wouldn’t say it is all that inspiring. I do think it is a great book that everyone should read. It would make a great graduation present. The secrets in this book written so long ago would help anyone in any part of their life. It is a very quick read give it a go!

A boy and his old dog 🥰 We found another amazing dog park at Cherry Creek State Park. The is a dogs dream land. It is huge, tons of trails, a stream to play in, perfect for our lab. She is now passed out in the back of the van.

My first completed book of the year. ❤️ Wow, this man can write. I don’t think I have ever read a book so beautifully detailed. I could not put it down and cried throughout the last few chapters. I highly recommend it!

We finally made it up to the mountains! And we get to stay at our favorite place
No tv’s, quite, amazing breakfast and warm cookies after skiing. It has been almost two years since we have been here. The boys are so happy to be back ❤️
