Ethan Rainwater and I just did some pine tree pruning that opens up our ocean view beautifully. You can even see a due-west sunset view over the carport -- abbreviated, but it hasn't shown there for years. I'm very pleased.

Just got back from a painting trip -- south-facing exterior walls and bathroom cabinets. The new couch adds class to the living room. I, Graham, will be taking over rental booking soon for people willing to sanitize thoroughly before they leave. Nothing like the coast for fresh air. As of this [Labor Day] weekend, the SeaRose rates are all going up by $10, but to offset, it will be for four people instead of two. Autumn is a well-kept secret for great weather and less traffic at the coast! See you at for availability and then call us!

If you've enjoyed time at the SeaRose in the last ten years and want more time there this Spring, pick out some time from the availability calendar and call us by next Sunday, 4/14. Mention the facebook special and pay full price for your first night, but pay half price for as many additional nights as you want up to five! Some minor restrictions apply. Read the fine print of what to bring, etc. Ask for Graham at the 689 number on the Web site. Go ahead, SPLURGE!

Haven't posted in far too long. Beverly and I are out here at the SeaRose to make it beautiful again. The weather has been spectacular after sweltering in the valley.
No one does a deep cleaning like Beverly -- under sinks and behind stuff where most people don't even look. The mud porch floor needed it bad. Honey, you're the best.
Ruth Duemler, a super-fan of the SeaRose downsized and donated two adirondack chairs and a really nice chaise longue (no, not lounge). The cherries jubilee ice cream and ocean view at sunset were even more delicious from that chaise. Thank you, Ruth!
Oh yeah, I gave the front door a much-needed second coat of garish pink paint, sports fans, as a very talkative chickadee gave play-by-play. Oh and hallelujah, after seeing virtually no seabirds for months (what's that about?), two gulls today flew overhead and down to play above the surf. A very good omen. We need those now!

I asked Mike Hatch to log on and describe seeing a big pod og California Greys going by out there in our little stretch of ocean. He said he actually saw one BREACHING!! That is incredible. In 22 years, I've only seen a couple of "spouts."

Out here for my birthday weekend -- a tradition. This place is a great place to "build a tradition." Treat yourself on or around your birthday, too!
This is the most beautiful morning I ever remember -- here or anywhere else. First direct sunrays spread across the biggest, most dramatic breakers I've ever seen here on Sea Rose Beach. It spread across our magnificent view into and across our front yard in a way that moved my soul.
Why am I looking at this computer screen now with that glory outside!? YOU deserve to wake up to this here, don't you? Absolutely! Start that process! Woot!

Waiting for the SeaRose lawn to get a bit dryer so I can mow. You guys, make time and come out here! It's so good for the spirit. Thoroughly refreshing. (Sounds like a beer commercial, but it's true.) Our wonderful friends Karrie and Tom have adopted the SeaRose and liberally splashed color around the garden in the best places. I wish I could gift you all with a night here. But wait! If you rent a full week, I can! Go for t!
