As I bid "farewell for now" to the island of Newfoundland, I want to share some photos of the amazing scenery YOU could enjoy when planning a visit.

This island is commonly referred to as "The Rock" as the landscape is defined by its rugged and rocky terrain. From dramatic cliffs to rocky coastlines, the natural beauty here is raw and untamed.

If you’re dreaming of a destination that combines breathtaking landscapes, rich history, and warm hospitality, look no further than Newfoundland! What a great time I have had exploring Newfoundland’s vibrant charm! I can’t get enough of the beautiful, colorful homes. Each one tells a story with its unique architecture. The colors are used to bring joy during the many cold and snowy months. They have also made me smile this last week with memories of my childhood. I can smell the hot tea and warm raisin buns going on the table for a visit with friends! 🥰

You may have been watching my stories over the last week while I have been enjoying some time in my mother's homeland of Newfoundland, Canada. If so, you have seen the beautiful sights of this island and you may have listened to some authentic "Newfie" music that I included on some of those stories.

Now let's enjoy a short lesson on the Newfoundlander's dialect. This island was settled by a majority of English, Irish and French settlers. The language spoken on the island is English, however someone with this language as a native tongue still may have trouble understanding. Enjoy scanning through and learning some of the words and phrases you will hear when visiting this island!

For example, last year I explored the Vatican museum and Sistine Chapel on a private, guided tour. I did say private, but guess what!? My tour guide and myself were in the museum with thousands of our new best friends. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity for me, but how much better would it be if the museum was closed to the public and I could begin my tour with hardly anyone else around? This is actually a possibility, but the dates are set in stone and very limited!

One of my favorite vendors offers an early morning private or semi-private tour, before the doors open to the public. Let me tell you, the lines wrap around the block to get in to this museum! You would actually have the possibility of walking through these hallowed halls, in relative quiet, and have the time to ponder all of the historical art and your interpretation of the artist's expression.

Hello to my local ladies!!!! Who needs a little personal development and fellowship within our community? The brand new Ladies Lifestyle Network will be holding their first networking event on February 21, right here in Asheville. Proceeds will be shared with a wonderful non-profit, Foster Love, who makes the foster care experience better for children going through it.
