Bound for Travel We are a full service travel agency specializing in customized travel planning. We follow your lead But these sites can be confusing and time consuming.

I am so excited to announce that I have started my own travel agency, Bound For Travel. For those of you who know me well, this should come as no surprise. I've had a serious case of wanderlust since I was a kid and I have a constant desire to scratch that itch! I've been fortunate to have traveled to Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Mexico, Scotland, England, France, Italy (in fact, most Western European c

ountries), several Caribbean islands, Hawaii and 35 other states! The next best thing to actually traveling myself is planning and researching trips for others. I am operating under a host agency, which means I have access to literally hundreds and hundreds of fantastic travel deals and opportunities. I'm also able to tap into the knowledge and connections of my colleagues to find not only the best deal, but experiences that you may not be able to find on your own. A quick update on the two group trips we are traveling to this year!

The Tuscany trip in April is SOLD OUT! We are looking forward to this one and have a great group of travelers ready to explore Tuscany and the surrounding regions.

Just so you know, there are still several cabins available on the 6 night Amadeus River Cruise which will dock New Year's Eve in Budapest! 🛳

We like to spring ahead here (in the Northern Hemisphere) as the season when nature starts to bloom again and vines show the first green pods. One of the best wine countries to visit is France, as well as pretty much all the wine regions around the entire Europe because the climate is very enjoyable and mild.

We recommend putting Provence, Languedoc-Roussillon or Bordeaux on your list of places where to go for a wine tasting during the Easter holidays. You can pair a unique wine tasting experience with more cultural activities in stunning cities like Nice, Montpellier or Bordeaux. Plus, you won’t find the crowds of tourists while visiting wineries in France or while strolling around cities.

Nicole and is having a great time in Punta Cana with her family! So we thought we would share with you some fun facts about this beautiful destination.

1. The name Punta Cana translates to "Tip of the White Cane Palms". The word "Punta" in Spanish means "tip" and refers to the location of Punta Cana at the tip of the Dominican Republic. "Cana" comes from the white palm trees that are abundant in the area and are a part of the local culture. 🌴

2. Punta Cana has over 90 all-inclusive resorts! This includes ones that are good for families, ones that have casinos, and ones that are adults only. 🏖

3. Scenes from Pirates of the Caribbean were filmed in several locations in the Dominican Republic, including Saona Island, Bávaro Beach, and Puerto Plata. ☠

4. Punta Cana has warm tropical weather year-round. The best time to visit for the weather is between December and April, which is considered their dry season and less chance of rain. If you want to avoid the crowds, you can consider visiting during the shoulder season between March and May, or during the months of May to June or September to November. These months are part of the rainy season, but the rainfall is usually short. ☀🏝

How are you celebrating the New Year? 🏖🍹

Hoping for plenty of travel in the upcoming year? Then do as they do in Columbia and carry an empty suitcase around the block. It's a practice that's thought to encourage lots of traveling in the new year.

For New Year's in Scotland, they observe something called "First Footing." Scots believe that the first person who crosses the threshold of a home after midnight should preferably be a dark-haired man, which can bring about a lucky new year.
Brazilians have a custom of throwing white flowers into the sea each new year. Doesn't that sound so romantic? Residents will toss flowers and candles into the Atlantic Ocean as offerings to Yemoja, a god of water who can pass along good things in the upcoming year.
