Throwing it all the way back to 1997 today! That was the first (and last) time I was in Hawaii. HOWEVER, I’m so excited to have the opportunity to travel back to the Islands of Hawaii on Monday and experience Oahu and Maui through a Familiarization (FAM) trip hosted by the Hawai‘i Visitors & Convention Bureau. I will get to stay at and/or do a site visit at 5 different resorts and also participate in many different cultural activities. One of the things I’m most looking forward to is being able to give back to Maui by participating in a volunteer experience at Honokowai Valley Maui Cultural Lands. Follow along starting Monday!! Last week I attended the Signature Travel Network Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is always hard to get away and miss out on things at home but I decided to prioritize this conference in order to continue to learn and grow to better serve YOU! I was able to attend many one-on-one appointments with our travel partners to build relationships that will ultimately benefit my clients. I was able to increase my knowledge of several destinations through attending breakout sessions as well as being inspired and motivated by the general sessions. It was a great conference and I look forward to attending next year! As a consumer, I hope you will support the travel advisor community when booking your vacations. One of the biggest take-aways from attending the travel conference last week was how much we need to be supporting Maui right now. Maui is OPEN and needs compassionate visitors! It's also a great time to visit with low crowds. Be sure to aloha kekahi i kekahi (love one another) and malama (care for) the local communities when visiting.

All-inclusive resorts are such a good option for group trips because of the flexibility and freedom they offer. With beaches, pools, and daily activities, there’s always something going on so everyone is entertained and occupied.

There are lots of opportunities to leave the resort for fun group excursions too. It’s just a couple of the reasons why my clients love group getaways to all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean! This week I booked two honeymoons, a 2024 cruise with friends who will be celebrating their high school graduation, and a multi-generational trip to an all-inclusive resort in Turks and Caicos. 2024 is looking to be a great year in travel but I’m also still booking last minute 2023 vacations!

First stop of the morning at was in the kids club. Kids will love taking a break from the sun and sand in this huge facility. So, so much to do! There’s an indoor basketball and soccer court, a trampoline park, a life size doll house, a beauty shop, cooking class, dress-up room, a theater room, Lego tables, and so much more! Kids ages 4-12 can enjoy this space while on vacation here.

Made it to Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana (an all-inclusive resort for all ages) and checked into my room. Time for a quick nap before meeting up with the other travel advisors for a resort tour and then dinner. First impression- this place is HUGE! I’m looking forward to checking it out over the next few days.

I’m headed to Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on Tuesday for a Family-focused FAM trip! This all-inclusive resort is perfect for those of you who enjoy having lots of activities for the entire family.
