🎉✨ A Mother’s Dream Come True ✨🎉

In just a few short days, my beautiful daughter Angelika Almeida will marry her best friend and soulmate, Jake Sausele, on November 30th. 💍❤️ My heart is so full as we count down to this incredible day filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments.

After planning weddings for over 20 years, this one is extra special—because now, I get to simply be Mom. 💕 Watching Angelika’s vision come to life, seeing all the personal, unique, and heartfelt touches she’s included, and sharing these precious moments with her as we plan has been a gift beyond words.

This journey is one I’ll treasure forever, and I can’t wait to see her walk down the aisle to begin this next chapter of her life with Jake. Here’s to love, family, and celebrating the most important day in my daughter’s life. 🥂✨

Stay tuned for all the magic to come—it’s going to be unforgettable! 💕

This weekend I’m in Washington, DC celebrating my nephew Devin and his beautiful fiance, Valeria as they get married. I’m so excited for them. Staying at their apartment and guess who tested his Godmother to a homemade meal? The view from their apartment are beautiful.

Today I attended a meet and greet with U.S. Senator Bob Casey. A HUGE THANK YOU to DrDamary M. Bonilla-Rodriguez for inviting me and Youth Infusion to participate. This was a wonderful event where I was able to network, listen, share and learn.

I was happy to shake the Senator’s hand as he listened to me talk about what we are doing with our Youth Leadership Advisory Board - YLAB Program and how civic engagement is one of the key learning objectives in our F.A.C.E.S. (Focused Action and Change through Eduction and Service) Guide.

Now more than ever, we need to educate our young people about the importance of civic engagement. Civic engagement helps young people become informed citizens and active members of their communities. We are educating them about their rights and responsibilities as citizens. I love that DrDamary M. Bonilla-Rodriguez said this right in the beginning when she took the platform before she introduced Senator Casey. I love that she believes in everyone having a voice and that she will gladly have a conversation with you even if you don’t necessarily have the same views or beliefs.

You can make a difference in a young person’s life by becoming a mentor through our Youth Leadership Advisory Board - YLAB Program. Mentorship is just one component of our YLAB Program but it’s the most important one!

We are providing safe spaces for young people where they feel supported and valued. Our mentors are trained in Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) which is so important now more than ever.

Become a mentor and feel good knowing you are making a difference by helping a young person achieve their goals and dreams. You are helping to provide them with the skills, resources and tools they need to navigate through life during their high school years and after high school.

Made some great connections at the Vision Board networking mixer. It was a great turnout tonight. I haven’t been to a mixer in quite some time so I was excited to see lots of new faces.

So I became a ZUMBA®Instructor. Before the New Year, I signed up to take this training because I will be incorporating it as part of our Shape Up and Girls Infused Programming for Youth Infusion. This is the first step. Next, I will be taking the ZUMBA® KIDS + KIDS JR. Training. It’s so important to incorporate fitness into our children’s lives and help them develop healthy habits.

We are excited to officially launch our Youth Infusion Girls Infused Program. There are only 10 spots for this 12-week program. Girls Infused is a young girls empowerment and mentorship program for girls ages 10-15 years old.

Program starts on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 and Ends on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. Meetings are from 4-6pm. Register online.
