I am sure most of us are seeing the news of all the flight cancellations and delays happening due to this recent storm.

Please, please, please ALWAYS pack your medication in your purse or carry-on. I just watched an interview with a woman crying because all of her medicine is in her luggage and the airline told her it would be hours before they can even begin to search for it.

Most things can pretty easily be replaced but ALWAYS keep your medication with you. Even if your flight happens, sadly luggage is lost all the time.

Other tips: Pack at least one change of clothes in your carry-on in case your luggage is lost or delayed; pack 2-3 outfits for each person in each suitcase, so if one bag is lost it doesn't include all of someone's clothes for the trip; save yourself a trip to the expensive airport store and pack what you would need for a canceled or delayed flight in your carry-on: toothbrush/paste, glasses/contact solution - whatever you would need to potentially sit in the airport for several hours or overnight; place an Airtag in your suitcase so you can track your own bag; if at all possible, book a non-stop flight - most issues we are seeing this year are happening due to missed or canceled connections.
