Day 10
Hollywood Studios & Epcot

9:00am - We took a boat from our resort to Hollywood Studios. This is my favorite form of transportation.

We purchased multi passes this day. I pre-booked Slinky Dog Dash for 9:30a, (this was my moms first time riding) Toy Story Midway Mania for 10:30a, and Tower of Terror for 12p. We also had lunch dining reservations at Round up Rodeo for 12:35pm.

After lunch we took a break at the resort and then hopped over to Epcot using the Skyliner.

We had single passes booked at Epcot for Guardians of the Galaxy again. It is my favorite ride! I also booked lightning lanes for Soarin and The Seas with Nemo & Friends.

We checked out the new Moana area and had dinner reservations at Garden Grill for 7:00pm. This restaurant is family style meal with characters. I definitely will be going back here. The character interaction was amazing!

Day 9
Animal Kingdom & Magic Kingdom

Today we had multipass which allows you to bypass the regular ride lines. Because we were staying at a Disney Resort we were able to book our Lightning lanes 7 days in advance. We booked the Safari ride for 9am, Navi River Journey for 10a and expedition Everest at 11a. We also purchased a separate single pass for Flight of Passage for $13 per person! So we had all of our must do rides lined up for the day.

I also enjoyed a Night Blossom at Pongu Pongu in World Of Avatar! 10/10

At 12:35pm we had lunch dining reservations at Tusker House. This is a buffet with characters. Such a good time!

Then we hopped over to Magic Kingdom after a few hours break at the hotel.

We did Pirates of the Caribbean (2x)and did Space Mountain using lightning lane. I was able to book Lightning lanes for Magic Kingdom at Animal Kingdom because we had hopper passes. It was fun to see Magic Kingdom all decorated for Halloween!

We utilized the bus transportation to both parks today.

Day 8
Ohanas, Pool, Boardwalk

11:30a - Slept in and headed to Ohanas for breakfast at the Polynesian Resort. We took a Lyft to get there. ($10) I will make a separate post about Ohanas but it’s a family style character breakfast with all you care to enjoy food.

Then we toured the Grand Floridian and had to stop at Basin White to get some bath soaps. Highly recommend!

1:00pm - Took complimentary transportation back to Beach Club and it took about 90 minutes. Utilizing monorail, bus and Skyliner.
It was really hot so this wasn’t the best option for us. We should of just paid for a Lyft.

3:00pm - Pool time at the resort. There is a lazy river and zero depth entry sand pool.

6:00pm - Seafood Buffet Dinner on the resort at Cape May Cafe. Definitely recommend 10/10.

8:00pm - Took the boat from our resort to the Boardwalk. I absolutely love it here! Entertainment, shopping, restaurants, and movie in the grass. Such a fun atmosphere! I wanted to spend more time here but we all needed rest for Animal Kingdom the next day and the last boat left at 9:30pm.

Day 7
Epcot & Hollywood Studios

9:00am - We started out the day rope dropping Epcot. It was a 5 minute walk from our hotel and we got right in line for Remys Ratatouille. It was about 30 minute wait. Then we spent some time walking through some of the countries on our way to the Frozen ride. Most things didn’t open until 11:00am so we got some coffee and enjoyed the light morning crowds.

10:15am - Got in line for Frozen. Another 30 minute wait. The weather was amazing so it wasn’t bad standing in line.

Next we went to Mexico and did the Grand Fiesta Tour and got some chips and guacamole. So good!

1:00pm - Lunch at Sunshine Seasons. I got the gluten free salmon and broccoli with rice.

Went back to the resort for a few hours to relax.

3:00pm- Took the Skyliner to Hollywood Studios

4:30pm - Dinner at 50’s Prime Time Cafe. We did the Fantasmic dinner package to have reserved seating. Such a cute and fun place. Highly recommend.

7:00pm - Drinks at Oga’s Cantina.

9:00pm - Fantasmic - we got reserved seating with our dinner package at 50’s Prime Time. 100% worth it!

Thursday night we checked into the Beach Club Resort for 5 nights. This resort is only a 5 minute walk to Epcot and 15 minute walk to Hollywood Studios. You can also walk to the Skyliner. This resort has one of the best pools on the Disney property and is directly across from the Boardwalk.

After we checked in to the resort my mom arrived to join us on the next part of our trip. We ate dinner at on property restaurant called Beaches & Cream. It was very good.

We also had another grocery delivery from Walmart.

Magic Kingdom

We took the Monorail from Epcot to Magic Kingdom.

We rode Tron for the first time. Super fun! It’s my son’s new favorite ride. We purchased single passes for this ride. $20 each.

Then we had a few treats from Main Street Confectionery.

We were definitely beat by the time we got to Magic Kingdom but so glad we did the 4 park challenge!

Epcot

We took the Skyliner from Hollywood Studios to Epcot.

We rode Guardians of the Galaxy for the first time and loved it! I even think it’s just a bit better than Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure in Universal. But just a little better. 🤣 Hagrid’s still has my heart.

I did purchase single passes for this ride to skip the long lines. $15 each and 100% worth it!!

Then we had the iconic Mickeys ice cream bar.

We also enjoyed walking around Epcot for a bit.

PS. Donald is the cutest!

Hollywood Studios

The busses don’t go from Animal Kingdom to other parks until 10:30a so we took a bus to Yacht Club and then a boat from Yacht Club to Hollywood Studios. It took about 45 minutes total.

At Hollywood Studios we did Rock’n Roller Coaster for the very first time! It was fun but a little jerky.

Then we got our picture in and ate Totchos and kids grilled cheese at Woodys Lunchbox.

We got a breakfast sandwich, bagel & cream cheese and egg bites.

Rode Everest and got a picture in front of the Tree of Life!

Today is the first time we are doing the 4 park challenge at Walt Disney World! We are doing 1 ride, 1 photo and 1 food item in each park.

Day 5
Chill day and resort transfer!

11:00am - Checked out of Universal Dockside Inn Resort and had breakfast at Starbucks.

11:30a - Lyft ride to Disney’s Pop Century Resort. $30 with tip and about 25 minute ride.

12:00pm - Room was ready at Pop Century. Yay!! Took a break to relax! The room has a Murphy bed.

2:00pm - Resort shuttle bus to Disney Springs.

2:30pm - Lunch at Summer House on the Lake. Food was amazing. 10/10. Walked in with no wait. Highly recommend the house made tortilla chips with guacamole. Then we got cookies at their bakery. I got the gluten free chocolate chip cookie.

4:00pm - Back to resort. Relax a bit and decided to go on the Skyliner because our room was right next to it. It was our first time on it and it was cool to check it out before our park days.

6:00pm - Dinner at resort. It was ok.

7:30pm - Pool time!

Day 4
Last day at Universal Orlando Resorts! It has been a blast and not busy at all. If you can handle the heat going mid to late August seems to be a great time to visit!

10:00am - Breakfast at resort. Starbucks! We slept in and took it easy this morning.

12:00p - Resort shuttle to the parks. We stayed until closing so started the day later. Security all 4 days has been quick and easy. No lines! 🙌

Here is what we did at the parks!
- Checked out the new DreamWorks Land.

- Rode Trolls Coaster (5 minute wait)

- Tried the new BroZone Berry - Huckleberry ice cream. $7.49 yummy

- Bourne Stuntacular show. This was a great action packed show. About 45 minutes. (In air conditioning 😀)

- Characters - Beetlejuice,
Marilyn Monroe, Scooby crew, Simpsons.

- Hogwarts Express to Islands of Adventure (no wait)

- Rode Forbidden Journey. (15 min wait)

- Rode Skull Island: Reign of Kong (5 minute wait)

- Tried for Hagrid’s for the 3rd time but they closed single rider line and 50 minutes in the heat is too long to wait. So we passed.
Both times before in single rider was less than 15 minutes.

-5:00pm Dinner at Mythos. Very cool restaurant. The food was really good but portions were small and a bit pricey. Definitely worth doing one time.

6:30pm - Hogwarts Express back to Universal Studios. It’s different going back.

Then we rode E.T., The Mummy Returns, and Rip Ride Rockit.

9:00pm - Ended the night watching CinSational the new water show that features popular movies. It was excellent! I loved it. I thought it was better than World of Color at the Disneyland Resort. So many movies featured from my childhood!

It was another perfect day at Universal and I can’t wait to come back! I’m already planning our next trip! 🤣🤣

Day 3
Universal Studios and Islands of Adventures!

8:00am - We had breakfast at the hotel. I ordered the kids egg breakfast for $8 and it was plenty.

8:45am - Resort shuttle to the parks. Because we are staying on property we have access to early entry which allows us to enter Islands of Adventure 1 hour early (8:00am) before non resort guests. But because last night we hit 3 of the most popular rides we decided to not to take advantage of it. We also did not do Express Pass this time.

9:00am - Started at Universal Studios then at 12:00pm went to Islands of Adventure via Hogwarts Express. To ride Hogwarts Express you need to have a park to park ticket.

Here is what we did at both parks.
- Revenge of the Mummy (2x)
- Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit (3x) I sat out and let the kids ride. 🤣
- Transformers
-Escape from Gringotts
- Men In Black
- Hogwarts Express
- Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure (single rider)
- River Adventure
- Hulk

The longest wait we had was 15 minutes. We tackled most of the rides before 12:00pm with very little wait.

1:00pm - We had lunch at Green Eggs & Ham Cafe and had the Green Eggs & Ham Totchos. So good! 10/10

6:00pm - Universal Mega Movie Parade. Loved it! Brought back so many childhood memories!

7:00 - Dinner at Mel’s Drive-In and milkshakes. I had a gluten free burger.

9:00pm - Ended the night watching Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Tomorrow we will close down the parks!

Excited for our first full day in the parks! Kicking off at Universal Studios! Of course we are going on The Revenge of the Mummy first! This is our favorite ride in this park!

Day 2
Universal’s Volcano Bay

9:00am - Breakfast flatbreads at hotel Pier 8 Market.

9:30am - Free hotel shuttle to Volcano Bay water park. About 15 minutes

9:45am - Volcano Bay water park. When you arrive they give you a TapuTapu watch that allows you to scan into a ride and then play until it’s your turn to ride. Our favorite water ride was a 95 minute wait and it was nice to do other things while we waited.

1:30pm - Lunch at Volcano Bay. Chicken tacos and Nachos from the Feasting Frog. Honestly it wasn’t very good.

2:30pm - Shuttle back to hotel. Shower and refresh for dinner.

5:15pm - Dinner at Toothsome Chocolate Factory. They have the best milkshakes for dessert.

7:00pm. - Walked over to Islands of Adventure and went on the Hulk, Velocicoaster and Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure. (Best ride ever)

9:30pm - Ended the night watching Twister.

It was a perfect day and I can’t wait to see what adventures we have tomorrow!

Travel Day
Day 1
✈️Flight from Seattle to Orlando arrive at 5:00pm

5:30pm - SuperStar Shuttle from airport to the resort. This shuttle is available if you are staying at one of the Universal resorts. Cost was $69 for 3ppl one way. It was there as soon as we got our luggage. We loved that we got to watch a Minion movie. It was about a 30 minute ride.

6:30pm - Checked into Universal’s Endless Summer Resort - Dockside Inn & Suites and picked up our 3 day park tickets.

7:00pm - Dinner at resort. Pier 8 Market. Cafeteria style with many options. I had a gluten free burger that was really good.

7:20pm - Walmart grocery delivery. (This is a life saver) Room has a refrigerator but no microwave.

8:00pm - Free hotel shuttle to downtown Universal called City Walk. Shuttles run every 15 minutes.
Checked out shops and walked around. It’s so pretty at night

9:30pm- Ended the night watching Men In Black!

Lightning Lane booking success at 4am!!

I was up at 3:45a to make Lightning Lane bookings for our upcoming WDW trip. The booking window opens at 7am (EST) and 7 days prior to your on property hotel stay. (3 days prior if staying off property). I am a west coaster so I was on at 4am. 🤪

Multi Pass
You can book up to 3 rides per day in advance. 1 ride from the tier 1 rides and 2 rides from the tier 2 rides. (Animal Kingdom doesn’t have tiers)

I was able to score Tiana’s Bayou because we booked it on the last full day of our vacation. When your booking window opens you can book up to 14 days out of your vacation. So our window opened today for August 15 and it allowed me to book Lightning Lanes all the way to August 22 to the end of our vacation.

I booked 2 single passes. These are the rides where you pay an additional fee to ride the individual ride. We got Flight of Passage $14pp) in Animal Kingdom and Guardians of the Galaxy ($15pp) in Epcot. We plan to do virtual queue for Tron. 🤞 Tron is $20pp 💸
(Prices can fluctuate each day)

I was also able to use Disney gift cards to pay for the purchases. I recommend have the GC number saved in your phone so you can just copy and paste.

I felt the process was easy and user friendly. I got everything we wanted. Excited to see how it all works when we get to the parks.

Bon Voyage to a sweet couple celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on an Alaska Cruise.

They leave today along with 10 family & friends on the Celebrity Solstice. It has been a blast working this amazing group and I am beyond excited for them.

They will be taking a scenic railway in Skagway Alaska, Sky Peak Gondola in Icy Strait Point, Pub Crawl in Ketchikan and much more!

Make sure that you are REAL ID compliant by May 7, 2025 so you don’t have any disruption in domestic travel.

Passports and other forms of identification will still be accepted. But if you typically use your drivers license or want to use it make sure it is REAL ID compliant by May 7, 2025.

We absolutely love Universal Orlando!

Did you know that when you stay at a Universal Premier Resort you get Express Pass included for everyone on the room reservation.

Express Pass allows you to bypass or skip the regular lines on most rides as many times as you want. And the cool thing is that you can utilize it the day you check-in and the day you check-out. So, if you were only staying 1 night you would get Express Pass for 2 days.

During the summer and busy times Express Pass can run anywhere around $200 or more per person per day. So staying a Universal Premier Resort might be the best way to go.

You can also take advantage of the complimentary water taxi that takes you to the parks and back. I love doing this because not only is it a beautiful and fun way to get to the parks, but you go through security before getting on the water taxi so you don’t have to do it at the parks.

Universal has 3 Premier Resorts:
Hard Rock Hotel
Loews Portofino Bay Hotel
Loews Royal Pacific Resort

We have stayed at Portofino Bay twice and had an amazing experience. Next we want to try Hard Rock Hotel.

Sending best wishes to a family that is traveling to Washington DC today. Their flight was cancelled on Friday and was rebooked for today. (3 days later) Luckily I was able to extend their trip 2 more days so they have more time explore Washington DC.

They will be staying at the Hyatt Place Washington DC/National Mall and have 5 days to visit the museums, Washington Monument, US Capitol and so much more.

Praying their vacation goes as smooth as possible from this point on!

Making vacations as amazing as possible even when there is complications is my ultimate goal!! I will always strive to make the best outcome out of any situation! 😀

Single Rider at the Disneyland Resort is the best!

Now that my kids are older, (12 & 16) we can take advantage of the single rider lines on many of the popular rides at the Disneyland Resort!

Utilizing single rider we have been able to ride some of the most popular rides with very little wait. We rode Radiator Racers 4 times with a wait less than 15 minutes each time. Sometimes we are in different cars, sometimes we are in the same car but not next to each other, and sometimes we are sitting right next to each other. Each time is different. But definitely worth it and a time saver!

Sending magical wishes to a family who is embarking on their adventure today. They will be staying 5 nights in Fort Lauderdale, FL at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa and then board the Disney Magic cruise ship for 5 nights in a Verandah cabin.

Disneyland Beignets and the Mint Julep drink can be found at the Royal Street Verandah in New Orleans Square! This was our first time trying both and it won’t be our last! I loved getting the tip to shake the beignets first before eating them. It makes for a fun and delicious experience. So fun being able to sit in the front row at the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular show. A must see show when at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida. This show has lots of pyrotechnics, amazing stunts and special effects. You won’t want to miss it. Get in line early so you can get in the front row. #disneyworld #indianajones #wdw

So excited for thr “M” family. They just arrived at the Animal Kingdom Lodge in Disney World yesterday. They will be spending 4 days at Disney World and 1 day at Universal. Below is a room tour and a view from their balcony. They get to wake up each morning and watch the animals while enjoying their coffee. So awesome!!
