Our travel advisor, Macy Wahlenmaier, just returned from a mother-daughter trip at the new Ava Resort Cancun. Here’s what Macy had to say about the resort:

“Staying at AVA Resort in Cancun was a seamless blend of luxury and relaxation, and I can't recommend it highly enough. The resort’s proximity to the airport meant that within an hour of landing, I was already unwinding in my oceanfront suite, complete with a private terrace and a spa tub overlooking the Caribbean. Every room has these incredible views, and waking up to the ocean each morning was unforgettable.

AVA Bay, the resort’s massive 2.7-acre saltwater pool, was unique and beautiful. Unlike anything I’ve seen, it’s spacious enough for paddleboarding and kayaking right within the pool—perfect for an active day without leaving the property. Although I preferred to spend my time at the family pool enjoying aqua Zomba, poolside service, and the swim up bar. Walking along the resort’s long promenade, designed to feel like an ocean liner deck, I explored celebrity chef restaurants, coffee shops, bars, theatres, and more. Projected to open around the holidays this year, AVA will have an adults-only pool with a day club for clients to enjoy. The food, drinks, and service were amazing and I would feel confident sending groups of singles, couples or families to AVA. This resort truly caters to all.”

“Our first stop was Mallorca, Spain, where we stayed at the beautiful Secrets Mallorca Villamil. This beachfront resort in Paguera is rich in history, offering stunning ocean views and peaceful Mediterranean gardens. It's the perfect mix of luxury and charm.

One of my favorite parts of the trip was our tour of Valldemossa, a charming village nestled in the mountains. Walking through the cobblestone streets and soaking up its history was incredible. We also spent time shopping in Palma, where the city’s vibrant blend of modern culture and historic architecture was on full display.”
