Starting the New Year with purpose and passion! 🙌

Two amazing groups are already making a difference in Baja this year.

This week, a dedicated team of high school students from Fremont Christian High School is building a home, and last weeks incredible crew from Iowa added an extension to a family's home, providing much needed space for them to grow.

Thanks to our incredible volunteers, staff, and donors, we’ve completed over 60 transformative projects, including homes, camp cabins, solar installations, water systems, and a shelter for girls escaping early child marriage. 🏠☀

But we’re just getting started. In 2025, we’re set to welcome more than 1,000 volunteers contributing over 150,000 hours of service! 🥳

Here’s what’s ahead:

✨ Our first-ever camp for teenagers in Zambia.
✨ 100+ housing, solar, water, and community projects.
✨ Our first full-scale dental initiative to bring vital care to underserved communities.

California: Coaching for Change

Our coaching program for at-risk students is growing stronger! With a new director, four new coaches, and plans for expansion, we're providing guidance and support to more students in need.

Students are learning how to be healthy in all aspects of life—socially, mentally, physically, and directionally—empowering them to thrive in every way.💼📚

Our first-ever overnight summer camps in Baja California were nothing short of life-changing! 🌞

Local children and teens, some traveling up to 200 miles, were able to attend and experience a camp that will stay with them forever.

As we gather around the table, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to YOU. Thanks to your incredible support, 2024 has been our most successful year ever! 🙏

Here’s what we’ve achieved together:

🌍 Zambia: We completed our first girls' home, welcoming six amazing girls who are thriving! And in January, we’ll welcome six more thanks to the overwhelming success of the program.

🌟 Baja California: Our first-ever overnight summer camps were life-changing for local children & teens – some traveling over 200 miles to attend!

💪 Volunteers & Staff: Nearly 900 volunteers and staff joined us, contributing almost 5,000 nights of service.

🔨 Building Projects: Over 30 projects were completed, including schools, youth cabins, homes for families in need, solar & water systems, and more, impacting thousands.

📚 California: Our coaching program for at-risk students is flourishing, with new leadership and plans to expand to more sites!

Over The Edge was amazing. There are too many people to thank, but a few thanks are owed. Diane Ebbitt of Citrus Heights Rotary was our top booster and fundraiser. She's a force of nature. (She the one rappelling in the butterfly wings!) Our staff and board were amazing. Seriously, amazing! (Check out Culture and Crumb, who catered everything for us—amazing!) Robi Quick of Robi Quick Entertainment, thanks for your tireless work. If you need an MC or charity auctioneer, you can't do better than Robi. But the MVP of the Over the Edge universe is Nicki Impastato —this was serious superhero status despite some very real kryptonite. I could go on, but just wow. To everyone else that raised money, came out in support of this, we cant say thanks enough. And to KCRA NBC3 and ABC10, thanks for the news coverage!

Our 5200 square foot tent was intended to be a temporary facility. But we now have plans to make it a permanent facility with permanent metal roofing, second story office space and other improvements.
