🚨 Terrain Alert 🚨

Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our amazing grooming team, Jupiter Express is opening tomorrow! 👏 Remember to follow all safety guidelines and pay attention to signs and markers set out by Patrol—they’re there to keep you safe.

We’re also excited to announce that the Training Grounds XS Park on Easy Street is now open! Accessible via Daisy, this park features 12 progressive features, allowing you to hit 10 features in a single lap. Plus, it’s fully operational at night! 🌙 The Rail Garden on Lower Mavericks is also open, offering nine medium features to enjoy.

We hope to have an update on Southern Cross and Double Diamond soon. 🤞 It is snowing at the Pass and the forecast looks promising with more snow continuing through next week—so stay tuned for more updates!

Good morning everyone!

Today at the Lake the temp is currently 30 degrees. We haven't rec'd any new snow overnight but yesterday morning we woke up to 4-6 inches of new snow. It continued to snow off and on during the day but warmer temps decreased the amount of snow by yesterday afternoon. But it's snow! And the groomers went out for the first time this season! Yay! For me, that's the official start of winter!

Yesterday, the following routes were groomed in the Lk Wenatchee area; 1A, 1B, 1C to the vault toilet, 3, 3A, 3B, 3C, 4, 4A, 4B, 4C, 4E, 4F, 5, 5A, 5B.
The groomer reported 3 feet of snow at Snowcone.

As for the logging operations in that area; the hauling trucks will be working Mon- Fri, mainly in the a.m. hours. The plowing for the truck access is required to leave 4 inches of snow on the road to allow for snowmobile traffic and hopefully the groomers as well. Those routes remain open for snowmobile traffic. The groomer was able to run on those roads yesterday due to the new snow that fell Friday night and the fact of no logging operations on the weekend.
Our USFS Ranger, Erica Taecker and Mason Schuur, recreational officer from the USFS, came to our grooming meeting to give us updated info on the logging issue for this season. We are really hoping the impact to the grooming on the 3 and 4 routes will be minimal.

BUT abundance of caution in that area, especially weekdays and early morning hours. AND at the Fish Lake Snopark, where traffic congestion could result with logging trucks and snowmobile rigs.

No grooming yet in the Entiat area. We will need more snowcover on the 7D route to move a groomer to the Eagle Creek area.

Hello again all you Ulitarians! Now fresh out of the cauldron is the “Fondrizzle.” This is the same recipe as the original fondue, just a secret twist in the cooking method. The intention is to make this yummy, creamy fondue cheese sauce a quick grab n’ go in an inverted squeeze bottle! Easy to toss in the cooler or the door of your fridge. There is no need to heat this cheese. Drizzle it on anything you like hot or cold as it is great on baked potatoes, steamed veggies, toasted breads, brats, apples, grapes etc. Make cheese and crackers a delight….a no fuss appetizer. We like to take it out of the fridge and let it hang out for a few before making snack time a blast!
P.S. Shout out to our friends over at Jak’s Pantry, thank you for sharing your kitchen to help us get started! Now that we’ve built our own processing plant, we hope to be bringing you more products as we continue to grow!

LWFR Tender and Brush trucks responding to fast moving fire in Nahahum Canyon. A structure fire turned into wildland fire. Regional districts and air resources have been requested.

🔥 Swauk CreekFire Update, Sept. 9, 2024 at 8 a.m.

The 100-acre Swauk Fire started late Sunday afternoon due to a motor vehicle accident on Highway 97 approximately 2 miles north of Lauderdale Junction (13 miles E/NE of Cle Elum, WA). Highway 97 is fully open to traffic. Motorists are asked to be aware of firefighting personnel and equipment in the vicinity of the fire. Please use caution when traveling through the fire zone.

Approximately 50 firefighters were on scene throughout the night (including two 20-person crews and two fire engines). Three more fire engines and another 20-person crew will be arriving today. Helicopters and airtankers assisted firefighters yesterday and will continue as needed today.
