Monday and Tuesday were all about Sedona AZ .

Minus our short little visit or should I say pit stop in Flagstaff! That town is cute and such a neat place! Very hipster and chic vibes on the iconic Route 66. We stopped there on our way through and grabbed some fuel for the van and some fuel for us! The coffee shop was a nice and very busy on a Monday morning! We sat and chatted and got a plan together for Sedona before we headed out!

About a hour or a little more later we arrived in Sedona. The entire terrain is vividly different! Even on the way we passed through pine trees forest and more “Kentucky” looking land. When we arrived it was breathtaking! The views were unbelievable!
🍻We grabbed a bite at a local brewery called Sedona Beer Company. Locals were so nice and the food was delish!

✝️We decided since our Airbnb wasn’t quite ready we would go ahead and check some things off the list and headed to the Chapel of The Holy Cross. Traffic was insane but worth it in the end! Again pictures don’t do it justice! By the time we made it back into town .. our Airbnb was ready. So we got checked in and relaxed for a bit before we headed to a local Mexican restaurant! Again food 10/10! I honestly don’t think we had a bad meal the whole trip! We settled in Monday night pretty early since sleep was a problem the night before ( yurt 🛖 problems 😂)

☕️☕️Tuesday morning started around 930 with a stop at a local coffee shop called CuppTown. It was down in an area called “uptown” . Very cute, larger more upscale shopping. We got we needed to start the day and headed out. First stop was Oak Creek Canyon . It can best be described as a tiny Grand Canyon meets Gatlinburg. With creeks/streams and big rocks! We sat out by the steam for a little bit and drank our coffee before we headed bk into town to do a little shopping ( so much more shopping was missed bc of time ) and grab a bOak Creek Brewery and Grill at Tlaquepaqueuepaque
After we finished we headed to our last destinations which was Red Rock State Park and Cathedral Rock. We did the 7 mile loop around in the van and stopped to take it on in at a local park.

🌟 Since it was NYE We wanted
To order in and stay home. So when we got home we found a great local Asian place to order from got it to go and made it to NYE (on eastern time 😂😂) the fresh air and higher altitudes will take it out on you!

Sedona has a piece of my heart and I WILL be back many many times! It’s the place that will forever stick out in my mind for its beauty and different types of scenery!

This morning we got up and headed out to Scottsdale!

I need to play a little catch up.
Service was spotty and we were busy soaking it all in!

I’ll make split it into two separate post!

Sunday we got up and headed to the Grand Canyon! We had downloaded a
Tour guide to drive at your own pace which ended up being really good for random history and letting you know exactly where to stop for the best views.

On the way we stopped at this tiny local food stand. Sketchy looking at first but food was delicious! All fresh and local. 😋

After lunch we continued our drive to the Grand Canyon. We did the south rim and Grand Canyon Village!

Finished out the day driving through a tiny town called Tusayan doing a little shopping and pizza to go for dinner!

Our adventure really took off when we got to our sleeping destination. We booked a Yurt 🛖 for the night.
When I was looking for a place to stay for one night I wanted it to be an experience… that it was! It’s completely solar powered and in the middle of a field with dirt roads leading you to it. Using the coordinates that were given was the easiest way to find it. The address alone wasn’t going to get us there. We arrived right before it started to get dark. Got unloaded and definitely had to adjust to the togetherness or lack of space that was available. We knew going into it about the water being shut off and that it was a “compost toilet “ (IYKYK 🙃)
We ate pizza and played several rounds of cards.

When it finally got good and dark we went out side to find the most amazing view of the stars. 🌟
You can’t begin to imagine how beautiful the night sky was! When you are in the middle of no where and there isn’t city lights or neighborhood lights it makes the sky so much more clear!

The Yurt was an experience like none other and to say I would do it again …yes maybe during a warmer spring time months. Running water would have helped a lot! You can do anything for one night!

Next up is the drive to Flagstaff and Sedona!

Saturday’s adventure doesn’t have words to describe the amount of beauty that place has!

🚐We started off the day with an off road bus ride out to the middle of what felt like nowhere. We had a really great tour guide and I’ll tag them down at the bottom of this post!

🤩Antelope Canyon was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had! I’m not a canyon person or I didn’t think I was until now! I want to see them all! The pictures down below won’t do it justice! You have to see it to understand just how amazing it really is!

Next we ate at a local favorite called Bird House. 10/10 recommend it for the chicken tenders! 😋

🪨After that we headed to the other side of town to a place just inside the border of Utah called Lone Rock. The views were spectacular! During the summer months I think this would be a fantastic place to camp or just come hang at the beach!

We finished off the night eating left overs from the previous meals (bc we all order way too much food ) played a very intense air hockey tournament ( I came in 2nd 🥳) and made s’mores around the fire pit outback!

Sunday is the Grand Canyon and our next over night stay is one that I’ve looked forward to since the day I booked it!

🌄🤍Fridays adventure was nothing short of amazing!!! At SUN SET! We had the chance to experience the stunning beauty of Horseshoe Bend in Page, AZ, and it did not disappoint! The breathtaking views and unforgettable scenery make it a must-visit destination.

We did learn to always check the wind and be prepared! It didn’t stop us from having a great time but it did make us wish we had been a smidge more prepared!

For brunch we ate at a cute hole in the wall place called Canyon Crepe! It was delicious! All different types of crepes and my personal favorite was the strawberry Nutella banana 😋

We walked around the town of Page and enjoyed the local shops and people ! Everyone was kind and helpful!

🍺For dinner we went to a local brewery about a 10 min walk from our Air BnB called Grand Canyon Brewery!
Amazing atmosphere.. food.. beer… and people!!

We finished the night off in the hot tub telling stories and listening to music!!!

27/12/2024

🎲 We touched down in Vegas, a little after 8am Thursday morning! After a quick scavenger hunt to find our fancy van. (IYKYK) We headed to make a pit stop for some much needed necessities then we were off 🚗💨

First stop: the iconic Hoover Dam—an engineering marvel with views that take your breath away. 🏞️

🍔After that we were starving and decided to stop at an iconic west coast place for amazing burgers! Can you guess where?

🌄🏔️Next, we hit the open road and heading east to Page, Arizona. This was about a 4 1/2 hour drive up, over and through mountains and valleys!
The pictures don’t do it justice on how beautiful it really is!

🏡🌮We arrived right after dark and got check into our Air Bnb!
We grabbed dinner at a local Mexican restaurant that at been recommended by a few people! 10/10 .. amazing food and service!!

😴🥱After filling our stomachs we came back … settled in and got a much needed good nights rest!
