If you are questioning if an all inclusive resort is fun for kids, look no further than my picky child who is having the time of his life!!

He did not want to go to the kids club. Loved it.
He did not want to swim. He has swam in the ocean and the pool.
He is a very picky eater. Hasn’t stop eating since we got here.

He has loved every single minute of this trip and it’s not over. Tomorrow - kayaking and painting.

Bacalar. A town in southeastern Mexico near the Belize border. Lake Bacalar is also known as the Lagoon of Seven Colors. The colors were incredible! Our excursion had to pivot due to a downed beehive 😳. I couldn’t take my phone on the tubing excursion so I don’t have a lot of pictures but believe me it was stunning! I will definitely be going back here to spend more time!

Our second stop was Cozumel. We only got off the boat for a short time to do a little shopping in the port. I was wishing I had worn my swimsuit so I could have gone in the water. It was HOT! People were snorkeling right there in the port. There are lots of restaurants and tons of shops. It’s very easy to get a cab right at the port. There are multiple ports in Cozumel and we walked over to another one.

Is there anything you like to look for in the port shops? My kids like bracelets and the blankets in the picture below. The blankets are only $4USD. 😳. We usually stock up on vanilla too.

LOOK AT THAT WATER!!! It was incredible!

Our first stop was Costa Maya. Costa Maya is a cruise port in Mexico close to the town of Mahahual. We didn’t get to explore the port as we went right to our excursion (more on that later….). It looks like there is plenty to do in the port - shopping, restaurants, photo ops and lots more just a quick taxi/golf cart ride away!

My youngest's 12 year old trip! I can't believe we are taking our last one. Seems like yesterday we went with our oldest! 🤯

We will be sailing on Royal Caribbean's Mariner of the Seas for 5 nights leaving from Galveston. We are stopping in Cozumel and Costa Maya. 🇲🇽

Let's talk about the incredible beach! It's rocky, so don't forget your water shoes. We saw people enjoying the water and surfing every day. If you're interested, surfing lessons are available. The beach offers a unique experience for kids, with plenty of rocks and shells to explore. I spotted crabs, blowfish, and other marine life in the water. The sand is perfect for sandcastle building, and there were sand volleyball and soccer facilities available. The beach was well-equipped with seating and servers. We loved sitting at the beach and listening to the waves. 🌊

The food at Dreams and Secrets Bahia Mita was delicious!

We had a Junior Suite Ocean View Double
room on the Secrets size. Room was nice and big. Beds were very comfy. Very nice rooms!
