Our first port on our cruise was at Royal Caribbean’s private island Coco Cay in the Bahamas. We opted for a day pass at the adults only Hideaway Beach. We soaked up the sun, cooled off in the saltwater, enjoyed tropical cocktails and the laid-back atmosphere. HAPPY FRIDAY! Beverly here. Here are some quick highlights from my trip to Fairbanks, Alaska last week. Did some fishing along the Chena River, watched my boy play ball at the historic Growden Park (home to the Alaska Goldpanners), visited Pike’s Landing and the Morris Thompson Cultural Center. From Regensburg, Germany, we headed for Vienna, Austria. As soon as we arrived, we kicked it off with a city tour with our awesome tour guide, Petra. We started at the Belvedere Palace, then stopped at the Natural History Museum. We also walked around the massive Horburg Imperial Palace, enjoyed the lively City Center and ended at St. Stephen’s Cathedral (where Mozart was married). Walking through the streets of Vienna, you can easily see and hear why it’s known as the City of Music. After another day of baseball, our next stop was the interesting town of Regensburg. It’s known as the “biggest medieval city site north of the Alps”. We took a walking tour and learned about its history dating back to the Middle Ages. Our tour started at the St. Peter Cathedral and ended at the Stone Bridge which is right over the Danube River.
