Katie, why don’t you just tear it down?

It was suggested that I should just completely tear down the Pink House right after I purchased the special house. Some would have expressed to me that the house was on life-support. I saw and felt something completely different when I first entered the home. It was full of warmth, memories, stories, and great bones. Why would I ever tear down a home so sweet when I can pour love and attention and bring it back to life for future generations to cherish.

My love and heart for preservation grew during the three years I developed and restored the iconic Pink House property. This sweet pink house quite simply became iconic in the community and beyond and was a happy, gathering place for memories to be made!

I am eager and determined to carry on my preservation work throughout our community. It is important work. It requires patience, love, thoughtfulness and time, but in the end, history will be preserved and carried forward!

The front yard of The Raleigh House feels like a peaceful retreat with a touch of English countryside. Our love of restoration carries from the inside of the house to the outside.

Our goal is to enhance the lush and peaceful escape within the private brick walls surrounding the property. Our main inspiration to enhance the outdoor spaces comes from fellow restore projects that respect and honor the past whilst blending loving improvements.

We cannot wait to watch this space grow as we move into springtime! 🪴🌳🌱
