Farewell, friends. Dave’s World Tours is now closed.

Howdy, everyone! Dave here, from Dave's World Tours. Today, I’m writing with a mix of emotions—sadness, gratitude, and a whole lot of love for this incredible journey we’ve shared. It’s not easy to say, but the time has come for Dave's World Tours to hang up our hats. As of today, we’ll no longer be in business.

To all of you who joined us for adventures, laughed at ourcorny jokes, and helped create unforgettable memories—thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You’ve made this ride one for the books, and we'lll always treasure the moments we shared exploring the beautiful Black Hills.

Life’s too short to take too seriously, so remember: keep life fun, keep exploring, and keep smiling! If you’re planning a visit to Custer, be sure to check out www.custersd.com for everything you need to make your trip a fantastic one.

We love visiting Custer State Park and Wind Cave National Park in late July and early August! It's during this time that the local bison go into rut and become more vocal than usual. Their "love songs" are quite impressive. 😁

Buffalo are known for their deep and resonant vocalizations, which are often described as bellows. During the rut, male bison produce deep, guttural sounds as a way of asserting dominance and attracting females.

Summer throwback ... buffalo bellows! 🦬 "During mating season, known as the rut, male "bellows" are commonly heard. These bellows have been compared as to revving up an old Chevy truck! It is believed that these vocalizations announce the male's presence and establish dominance within the herd. The frequency of the sounds increases during male-male competitions or when they are trying to find mates. Scientific studies indicate that the acoustic qualities such as the frequency, length, and volume of the bellows demonstrate which males are more dominant, and therefore, a better mate to females." info courtesy of National Park Service

Welcome to Dave’s World Tours

Our goal is to showcase the beauty and wonder of the Black Hills for visitors from around the world. We love to meet people of all ages, cultures, and interests and look forward to sharing all the area has to offer, with all of you.

Our 10 passenger van is air conditioned and has an awesome sound system - ensuring you can hear your tour guide. And it sits “high off the road” offering fabulous photo opportunities for our passengers.

Dave’s World Tours is owned by Dave & Patty Ressler. After 20 years of vacationing to the Black Hills and falling in love will all the area had to offer, they moved to Custer in 2005. As the Custer Area Chamber of Commerce Director, Dave spent 13 years promoting the Southern Black Hills and helping visitors create lifelong memories.

Patty also loves working in and promoting the area. She is the Executive Director of Black Hills Parks & Forests Association, a non-profit organization that partners with area public lands to support wonder and exploration via their retail outlets.
