Boise Idaho friends! We will back in Boise for the spirit of Boise Balloon Classic
Aug 30 - Sept 3.

Wed Aug 30 is Kid’s Day. We will have our Air Hound out for cool photo ops- kids can climb in and squeeze the burner.

Aug 31st is the first morning flight with our blue dog balloon, Air Howler.

Sept 1st AM flight, we will be in the skies again!

Sept 1st NIGHT GLOW. We will have our yellow dog balloon, Air Hound, for the glow.

Sept 2nd morning flight.

Sun Sept 3rd is the Mass Ascension, where all 50 balloons will be taking off together (my favorite flight of the year!)

Come out and see the balloon or tag us in your photos if you see us in the sky.

Calling all educators! Did you know we have a free education program? Free for any educator, whether it be homeschool, public school, or private school; we will come out and talk to the children about the science of ballooning ‐ we will even let them walk inside one of our old envelopes! Last weekend we taught 60 kids about hot air ballooning and answered some great questions.

The return of the original, lil' dog, Air Hound! Taking to the sky in Boise, Idaho for the Spirit of Boise Balloon Festival! Air Hound will also appear at the Glow Friday night!

Our ground crew work hard to make sure our passenger's bucket list experience is everything they hope. Air Hound Adventures takes ALL the tips that are received throughout the year and use them to take our crew out for unforgettable experiences of their own! This time it was hanggliding at Wallaby Ranch (www.wallaby.com), which involves being towed 2000’ above Florida and then gliding back down to Earth. This is a different type of experience then floating above the earth in a balloon. Malcolm and the crew at Wallaby made it an amazing morning. We can’t say thank enough to both our passengers and ground crew for your continue support. See you in the sky!

I normally don't have the chance to time-lapse the chase because I am flying, but on day 3 of ABQ Fiesta we helped chase. The ending is how fast I expect my crew to pack up a balloon from now on.

We are in Albuquerque for the next week at the international balloon fiesta. The dog balloon isn't out here but there are 588 other balloons that will be taking to the sky each moring. We will post a picture of the balloon we are flying/chasing.

I wanted to thank my entire Idaho balloon crew that came out to help for the last 5 days. At one point we had 15 people crewing on a 54,000 cf balloon. Until next year Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic. The balloon is packed and ready to head back to Florida.

Today was one of my all time favorite flights. We launched all 50 balloons at the same time in a mass ascension. I then was able to box the field and land on the same grass marks we took off from. It was a great way to end the Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic 2021 and can't wait until next year. See the time-lapse below of the flight.

In Florida we don't get a lot of box winds. A box wind is where you take off and land from the same site. My balloon mentor Charlie wouldn't let the crew forget that he boxed the field today and now I see why. What an amazing flight.

The AirHound team is in Idaho at the Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic 2021. Yesterday was kids day. We talked to a lot of kids about balloons and let them jump in to take pictures other balloon also offered teather rides to all the kids. Today was flight number 1 with a few pictures from the pilot and the crew. Watch this page for updates why we are at the event. FLight videos coming shortly.
