BIG NEWS FROM THE HOUSE OF THE MOUSE!

Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort to pilot NEW Service providing expedited entry to theme park attractions: Lightning Lane Premier Pass.

At Disneyland Resort, the Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be available first come, first served staring October 23, 2024.

At Walt Disney World, when Lightning Lane Premier Pass launches, it will be available starting October 30, 2024 only to guests staying at Disney Deluxe or Deluxe Villa Resorts and may be purchased up to seven days in advance of their stay.

Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be offered in very limited quantities and will give guests one-time entry to each available Lightning Lane entrance in the theme park they are visiting that day.

This includes attractions included in both Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass, but with Lightning Lane Premier Pass, guests do not need to select an experience time.

Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be a premium offering, and prices will vary based on the date and theme park guests are visiting.

FYI - Port Canaveral is Open as of 11:30 am today!

🟢PORT CANAVERAL IS OPEN: As of 11:30 AM, The U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port has set Port Condition Four for Port Canaveral. The Port is OPEN with NO restrictions. Waterside and landside operations are normal. Jetty Park day park and beach reopens Saturday morning, Oct 12 at 7 AM, however, the Jetty Park Campground and Fishing Pier will remain closed until further notice.

We’re grateful Walt Disney World Resort weathered the storm, and we are currently assessing the impacts to our property to prepare for reopening the theme parks, Disney Springs and possibly other areas on Friday, October 11. Our hearts are with our fellow Floridians who were impacted by this storm.

Current operational impacts include:

Theme Parks & Disney Springs

All theme parks and Disney Springs—including the parking garages—are currently closed. This includes the cancellation of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (event tickets will be refunded) for Thursday, October 10.

For partially used multi-day tickets, ticket expiration dates will be adjusted to expire on October 11, 2025. View more details.

Please note that our theme park and Disney Springs restaurant hours displayed on the Walt Disney World website and My Disney Experience app are based on normal operating hours. They may not reflect changes due to Hurricane Milton.

Disney Resort Hotel Closures

Although we will receive a few domestic arrivals this evening, no departures or international flights will occur. Departing flights will begin tomorrow, Friday, October 11. Please don’t come to the airport for a departing flight tonight. Feel free to pick up arriving passengers, if needed. Airlines will continue to adjust their schedules to better accommodate passengers, so please verify your flight status directly with them. FYI - Update from Port Canaveral - Hurricane Milton

⚠️PORT CONDITION STATUS UDPATE: The Canaveral Port Authority has conducted an initial assessment following the passage of Hurricane Milton. Port roadways are accessible. Please exercise caution when returning to the Port.

WATERSIDE OPERATIONS: At this time, all waterside and vessel shoreside operations remain at Condition ZULU (i.e., remain CLOSED) until channel surveys are conducted and evaluations of vessel restrictions can be completed.

LANDSIDE OPERATIONS: For landside operations, the Port is now OPEN. Port Canaveral tenants and businesses may return to the Port to evaluate their premises and resume operations when safe to do so. Please continue to exercise caution. Promptly notify Port Canaveral Real Estate Department ([email protected]) regarding any damage to Port-owned/maintained property or other issues affecting your leased premises.

Jetty Park and the boat ramps at Rodney Ketcham Park and Freddie Patrick Park remain CLOSED until further notice.

PORT CANAVERAL UPDATES - Hurricane Milton

⚠️CONDITION ZULU FOR HURRICANE MILTON: The U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port (COTP) has set Port Condition "ZULU" for Port Canaveral as of 0600 (6 AM). Port Condition ZULU indicates sustained gale force winds (+39 mph/34 knots) within 12 hours. Until further notice, ZULU conditions will remain in effect. Port operations will be re-opened after assessment of the roadways and waterway.

WATERSIDE OPERATIONS: The Port is closed to all vessel traffic and ship to shore operations except those specifically authorized by the COTP. Canaveral Locks are closed.

LANDSIDE OPERATIONS: Landside Operations must cease. This includes cargo terminal facilities (except essential landside fuel terminal operations), commercial and retail establishments, restaurants, and other businesses on Port property. Roadways will be closed and entry into Port restricted to authorized personnel.

UPDATED: Universal Orlando Resort Updates
Special Update: Hurricane Milton

Due to Hurricane Milton, Universal Orlando Resort is making the following operational changes for Wednesday, Oct. 9 and Thursday, Oct. 10.

On Wednesday, Oct. 9, Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure & Universal CityWalk will be open until 2 p.m. and will be closed on Thursday, Oct. 10.

*Note: Hours of operation are subject to change based on forecast alterations and some attraction and experience availability may be limited on Wednesday as we prepare for an early closure.

Universal Volcano Bay will be closed Wednesday, Oct. 9 and Thursday, Oct. 10.

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Florida is canceled for Wednesday, Oct. 9 and Thursday, Oct. 10.

Our hotels remain operational as they focus on taking care of our guests.

We anticipate a full reopening of our destination, including Halloween Horror Nights, on Friday, Oct. 11 at our normal operating hours pending the outcome of storm impacts.

UPDATED: Walt Disney World Resort Updates - Hurricane Milton

Disney World is currently operating under normal conditions and continues to monitor the storm's path. However, select areas and resorts will be impacted:

Walt Disney World Theme Parks

On Wednesday, October 9, our theme parks and Disney Springs will be closed in phases beginning at 1:00 PM.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park will close at 1:00 PM

Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT and Disney Springs will close at 2:00 PM.

It is likely the theme parks will remain closed on Thursday, October 10. We will consider opening Disney Springs on Thursday in the late afternoon, with limited offerings.

This includes the cancellation of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom park on Thursday, October 10. Event tickets will be refunded.

Disney Resort Hotel Closures

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa will temporarily close beginning at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 9. They are likely to remain closed until Sunday, October 13.

Transportation

Walt Disney World Transportation will stop operating on Wednesday, October 9 after Disney Springs and the Walt Disney World theme parks close.

Limited Minnie Van and Mears taxi service will be available to Walt Disney World Resort Guests.

Recreation

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park, Winter Summerland Miniature Golf and Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf will be closed on Wednesday, October 9. Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park remains closed for planned refurbishment.

There are no events planned for ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex until the weekend.

Disney Cruise Line Update - Hurricane Milton

I'm soooo very Bummed for My Friends' Family who was supposed to sail this one, but Disney does their best to make things as right as possible.

Disney Cruise Line made the decision to cancel Friday's (10/11/24) Disney Wish sailing due to expected port impacts following Hurricane Milton.

Per DCL's Website, Guests will be notified directly via email with any changes to their sailing.

Walt Disney World Resort Updates - Hurricane Milton

Disney World is currently operating under normal conditions and continues to monitor the storm's path. However, select areas and resorts will be impacted:

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground (including dining and recreation locations), the Copper Creek Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa will temporarily close beginning at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024.

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa are likely to remain closed until Sunday, Oct. 13.

The Copper Creek Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will likely reopen on Friday, Oct. 11.

Disney Skyliner closes during inclement weather, and as such, would likely not run if majorly impacted. Alternative bus transportation will be offered to any destinations typically serviced by Disney Skyliner.
