Now that the eclipse is over, if you have glasses you'd like to recycle, we are gathering glasses to send to an organization that will ship to areas of the world where an eclipse is happening.

Interesting fact... there are 2-5 solar eclipse around the world every year.

You can donate/recycle by dropping them off at Old National Bank lobby in Boonville or Newburgh until April 17th.

They must be in good condition, have ISO certified (with stamp) and have the name and address of the manufacture on the glasses to qualify.

Thank you to all in the Sheriff's Department, Emergency Management, Indiana State Police, city, town law enforcement for your work leading up to, during and after the Solar Eclipse. Your dedication and work prior to and during helped all the events going on throughout Warrick County get people in and out safely and smoothly. Most people don't see all the work going on leading up and after such widely attended events.

And thank you to all the organizations who put on watch events leading up to and during the multiple events. A great showcase throughout Warrick County. We have a lot to be proud of in Warrick County.

TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE TIMES:

Here are the April 8th 2024 Total Solar Eclipse times for each city in Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky. Note that all times listed here are in Central Time. Indiana and Illinois will see totality of this eclipse, and a small portion of northwest Kentucky as well. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy conditions are expected on Monday during this eclipse time-frame.

A beautiful day in Warrick County, great place to watch the Eclipse. Lots of open spaces from Newburgh to Lynnville, Chandler to Tennyson and many in between.

Make sure to wear your solar glasses. We still have a small supply of eclipse glasses.
