Set on a private road in the hills of historical Pittsfield, VT, our house welcomes you – winter, spring, summer or fall. Right in the heart of the northeast’s winter sports playground, it is very convenient to Killington and Pico ski resorts. Sugarbush, Okemo, Stowe, Su***de Six , Mount Snow and the famous Mad River Glen are all easy day trips. Killington is also home to the now famous peak / spartan death races.

Beautiful, well decorated this brand new sunny four season 5 bedroom house (sleeps 11 in beds) just ten minutes from Killington and Pico ski resorts. Located at the base of Vermont's green mountains on scenic route 100, Pittsfield is a classic New England small town with a touch of the modern. This house is surround by the Green Mountain National Forest with a trail entrance right on the block only 50 yards away. This includes a snowmobile trail entrance, hiking trails, cross country ski trails, snowshoe trails & biking trails. 2 streams run right through the 5 acre property. Property is quiet and peaceful but not remote. Take a 2 minute drive down the road to the famous 125 year old Pittsfield Original General Store-the best place in the region for a warm meal, old time penny candy, fresh juices, fruit smoothies, groceries, a full wine cellar and lots of fun vermont products and souvenirs. The town also has two restaurants, gas station, three inn’s, a great local pizza parlor and the quant historic village square.
The house's main floor features include a cherry wood kitchen with stainless appliances, dining room & living room covered with authentic Vermont reclaimed barn board. Living room has field stone trimmed wood fireplace and large flat screen TV & Blu-Ray DVD player. Sliding doors lead to an outdoor deck with a stunning view and there are many windows. In addition on the main floor, there is a master suite with queen bed & en-suite bathroom, flat screen TV/DVD player. There are two additional bedrooms on the main floor (one with twin beds, one with a full bed) with large closets. There is a large hall entry closet & separate indoor ski storage closet.
The lower level features include a large den with flat screen TV/Blu Ray DVD player and a game room with air hockey/ping pong table, dart board, stocked board game/puzzle closet, plenty of DVD family movies and video game flat screen TV, Wii gaming console & video games. In addition there are two large bedrooms (one with full bed, one with bunk beds + a twin bed) all bedrooms have nice size closets.
You can even sled right on the property!
No matter which season you visit, you are surrounded by tranquil natural beauty. Stay a few days, a week, a month, or - if you prefer - have the house for the entire ski season, allowing you to come up at your leisure to take frequent advantage of the winter sports opportunities.
Winter sports include snowmobiling, cross country skiing, snowshoeing (all right up the street, a 2 minute walk!), sledding, and skiing/snowboarding -Killington & Pico ski resorts just 8 miles away.
Summer/spring/fall activities include golf (5 minutes from the Green Mountain National Golf Course- voted the #1 public golf course in VT), biking on the 50 mile Green Mountain Trail, fishing, swimming in the local lakes and swimming holes, hiking (entrance is 50 yards away right on our street) tennis, tubing and kayaking on the White River, with access right up the street in town (less than 2 miles).
