After years of research and development, westwind surfaces is announcing a product that will eliminate irrigation, indoor or outdoor, jumpers to dressage! This is a non wax product!
WestWind Surfaces specializes in custom footing for all equestrian disciplines worldwide.
Dan Carr was raised in horse country outside of Cleveland, Ohio, and his passion for horses was ignited by his time spent at the Thistledown Racetrack alongside his grandfather. Carr learned the ropes throughout the years of the equestrian industry, but progressed on to managing multiple country clubs across the East Coast of the United States.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to reach out
to an even larger market, and after 20 years of experience, there is no doubt that my quality custom product stands out,” Carr described. “We take the time to understand every aspect of the project, and it is able to be completed in a timely manner with a truly custom blend that will address the barn or horse show needs.”
Carr has been chosen to create footing material for some of the most instrumental organizations and top equestrians in the industry, including Ben Maher, Jane Forbes Clark, Margaret Duprey, Christine and John McCrea, Sean Crooks and Norman Dello Joio, United States Equestrian Team Foundation and Savannah College of Art and Design, just to name a few.

"It has taken a huge weight off my shoulders because the riders and trainers are extremely pleased with how [the footing] has turned out."
Despite huge amounts of rain over the past few days, the footing at the Platinum Performance/ United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) Show Jumping Talent Search Finals East drained beautifully, allowing the show to continue without interruption!

Taylor Harris, a 2015 Gladstone Program participant, and her horse Kavanaugh IV loved the arena footing at Hamilton Farm!
"The footing was fantastic. It rained the first day so we were in the indoor arena, which also had solid footing, and the next day the outdoor ring was ready for the cavaletti work. You can tell it is good footing when you are standing on it for hours and your feet do not hurt. All of the horses jumped really well, and I know my horse was happy at Gladstone."
