đŁKing Salmon story - Part 2
â˘
đ We watched my sister and dad cross the stream like proâs. Jess and I held onto each other for dear life trying to maneuver through the water without being able to see because they were so far ahead of us and our flashlights were not the good ones. A very nice stranger ended up shining nice big light for us since my family left us behind! We survived the hard part, didnât fall in, and as we caught up to them in the water we were informed that we had arrived at our destination. IN. THE. WATER.
â˘
đI am no professional, but it was not even 5 am yet and I know we canât fish until daylight, which is closer to 8. I was definitely not able to nap, even though my sister somehow laid in a tree stump and slept and I left my snacks in the car!!!
â˘
đ Once it was daylight and actually time to fish it became very apparent how serious all of the fishermen were. I was given instructions to yell âFISH ONâ if I had one on the line and âFISH OFFâ if it got away. If anyone near you has a fish on, you have to get your fishing line out of the water because the fish just take off and will tangle everyone in the way. Everyone is constantly yelling and it was difficult to know when it was even safe for my line to be in, but it was exciting seeing everyone struggle to reel these big fish in!
â˘
đAfter a couple hours I was hangry and tired, but not too tired to take cute photos with our fish. Tori, Jess and I were the only women there. The men were definitely laughing at us but we got some good pics!
â˘
đ When it was time to leave we were able to grab a ride from a man who was shuttling people and their fish back to the parking lot on a quad. It was $1 per person and fish. That was probably the best investment I made!
â˘
đI still have more, so follow for the next part!
â˘
đ¸ Swipe to seeâ Jess and I walking our fish, us being professional fishermen, and my sister napping on a log! We had to make these clothes look stylish somehow!
