It took 3 days and a few skunky beers but I finally found great craft beer in !

I knew I was in the right place when I saw a proper pour/dirty glass sticker on the wall!

The was superb and the staff was soo nice. Per usual they pointed me in the direction of other great local craft beers! I am still floored by how good the oyster was!

this was aged in dry rye reposado
barrels for 2 years. I love beer collaborations with other libations!

always has an impressive craft beer scene. Mardi Gras might be over but I’m still enjoying King Cake Milkshake Sour (not shown) on draft at . This yummo 6.5% sour is smoothie style packed with cream cheese filling, cinnamon and vanilla bean for a truly royal indulgence.

Just finished a virtual beer tour to celebrate international women’s day and I had a blast meeting awesome women interested in the history of women in beer.

During the tour I had to enjoy a beer from a female owned brewery and shocker……all there beer is gluten free.

is the passion project of Karen Hertz, a craft beer enthusiast and cancer survivor. She had a desire to create beer that fit her lifestyle.

My favorite was the . Cheers to celebrating women in beer! 🍻

88% of brewery owners are white. Just 1% are Black. Bowens-Mercado “Women across the board are a low number, but women of color is about one-half of 1%,” she said. “People don’t think Black folks make beer, even more so a woman.”

“When we first opened people would say to me, ‘Oh, you must be the brewer’s wife,’” said Braddock, who founded the brewery in 2016 with her husband, Benjamin Braddock. “Never has anyone assumed I am the owner. People are taken aback when they find out.”

They are collaborating to create a limited edition beer to be released March 5. A portion of proceeds will be donated to The CT Pink Boots Society Scholarship for Women in Brewing, to support women enrolling in the Brewing Science Certificate Program at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield. 🍻

Three female Connecticut brewers are getting together to create a specialty, limited-time beer to raise money for a scholarship to help train more women to enter the beer industry.

Just sat down to read the 2021 World Harvest Report for hops and barley production with ESB from !

Citra continues to reign as the top hop varieties produced in the US. Yakima Valley still produces most even with the droughts and wild fires.

Depending on where you live in TX, “Buried” and “Berried” can sound the same and I just love this play on words wing 2nd release from their underground series. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

This 5.2% ABV TX born ‘n breed “wild ale” has barley, wheat from TX, the water from their onsite well …heck…. even the wild yeast was cultivated from and on the brewery grounds! 🤯

As if this beer need more, it was “conceived” (aka spontaneously fermented) 2 years ago in a cave on their property then blended with 1 yr barrel aged wild ale THEN re-fermented with 4 lbs per gallon of raspberries. 😅

Available on draught and bottle tomorrow but I got a early taste and it is YUMMY! 😋

Y’all one taste of this and you will be as happy as a hog in mud. So git after this limited release it before its all gone! 🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏃🏻‍♂️💨

Austin is celebrating the inaugural professional soccer ⚽️ **football cough** season and has launched a limited series collectible special edition can for each of the team’s 17 home matches of the 2021 season! 💥

Each can design will be limited to only 500, and will feature one of Austin Beerworks’ beers.

This Thursday, Austin FC will take on the Seattle but no matter who wins I will be enjoying this delicious American aptly named “Cold Glory”.

To keep the momentum going; to honor those who have spoken out about their gender discrimination, racism, sexual assault, and harassment; and to bring further awareness to the issues that women, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ individuals face in craft beer, a collaborative brew titled “Brave Noise” has been created.

Enjoying a Roggenbier ! This tasty treat is a German style rye beer brewed with 30-60% of rye malt.

Until the 15th century, rye malt was commonly used to brew beer in Bavaria but after a series of bad harvests, the rulers of that age determined that rye should only be used for making bread instead of beer.
This caused Roggenbier to virtually disappeared from the tables of Bavarians for almost 500 years. It wasn’t until the 1980s that Roggenbier was brought back to life by a brewery in Bavaria, and it’s been gaining popularity ever since as more craft breweries.

The fest will featuring a cooking class with a q***r chef, a panel on LGBTQ+ and BIPOC pioneers in craft beer, and an artist gallery featuring q***r artists.

This event was hosted by the Austin Women’s Beer League. It was so wonderful to see so many women in the craft beer community appreciating and supporting local craft beer and artisan food pairing!
