As a Certified Travel Consultant since 1993, Angela has made it her mission to create premium bespoke experiences through her luxury consultation business all while privately consulting agencies to build their luxury travel market space through her Luxury Travel University. She is considered a true professional among her industry colleagues. She has been featured in Luxury Travel Advisor, appeared on Fox35 TV as a regular travel contributor, and often guest speaks around the country and on social media. Hughes lectures as an adjunct professor at BYU in Geography and Travel & Tourism. She has travelled to over 55+ countries and previously lived in Osaka, Japan. Angela also gives back through travel via their non-profit Color My World creating humanitarian trips meeting sustainable development goals around the world. Angela herself walks the talk, picking unique destinations and casing locations together with her family. She is thus a pro in curating and designing luxury, premium vacations and specializes in customized, curated travel.

Our Story

Trips & Ships Luxury Travel is YOUR Cruise and Travel Specialists. Owners, Kent Draper and Angela Hughes, opened Trips Inc. in 1994 arranging high-end luxury tours and cruises to the most discerning customers, as well as the budget minded traveller. Both have been in the travel industry business since 1985. In 2020, the company moved to Florida and become Trips & Ships Luxury Travel. Together, they es**rt groups, educate travellers and find the right vacation packages for families and independent travelers. Trips Inc. has 15 independent outside agents that consider the world their speciality. Prior to opening their own agency, Kent was the Vice-President at Morris Travel and Angela was a cruise and tour specialist at Morris Travel. Angela taught as an adjunct professor at Brigham Young University (BYU) for six years in the Geography/Travel and Tourism Department as well as, New Hampshire Technical College in the Hotel Management Program for two years. Angela has received The CTC (Certified Travel Counselor) designation conferred by the Institute of Certified Travel Agents on travel professionals who have completed a rigorous five-part program of professional study and testing and attained at least five years of travel industry experience. CTCs must continue their education in order to retain their certification.
