We witnessed a rescue today that could have had a terrible outcome. Although a red flag was posted it was ignored and a tourist was pulled farther and farther from shore. A guard received a round of applause from everyone on the beach as he fought to bring the man to safety. The beaches in Cancun are beautiful but swimmers need to respect the sea and pay attention to the flags. It’s not worth risking lives.
