We started our morning docked on the island of Crete. Several ventured into town walking to the city center where the cathedral to St. Titus houses the skull of Titus (supposedly). We then set sail for Santorini enjoying the sun, breeze, and deep blue sea. Arriving at the caldera of the island of Santorini, the whole group took the shore excursion from the ship to the town of Oia (pronounced ee ah) on the northern most tip of the island. This is the famous picturesque city with the blue domed churches and white buildings. We only had a couple of hours there, but enough time to fight the crowds for a pic & find a rooftop restaurant for some relaxation. Our last day of cruising - and it was nice!
Today we experienced Nazareth the Elias Tours way by witnessing what God did and what God continues to do in the land and with the people.
We began the day in Capernaum seeing the temple where Jesus taught and preached. We experienced the Mount of Beatitudes and ate St. Peter’s fish and enjoyed local coffee for lunch.

The beautiful island of Santorini. Santorini is a caldera of a volcano that blew its top about 1300BC. There are towns scattered around the edges of the cliffs. It is the most famous and photographed of all the 3000 islands in Greece. With its white buildings and blue domed churches, Oia (pronounced ee-ah), is the most desired destination spot for people traveling to Greece. To visit there was an optional tour offered by the ship. Those who chose not to pay to go to Oia could take a tender off the ship to shore and take a cable tram up the cliffs to the beautiful town of Thira. While not as famous and picturesque as Oia, it is also perched atop the cliffs of the caldera looking out over the Aegean with white buildings. Most of our group went to Oia, but some opted for Thira. Evryone enjoyed the views.

Today we are in the ancient city of Ephesus, seeing the Library of Celsus. Ephesian’s library was the second largest libary during Roman time after Alexcdria.

Today we visited Olympia, Greece. We love seeing these ancient sites through the eyes of our travelers!
