National Hot Air Balloon Day stands as a testament to human ingenuity, exploration, and the unquenchable thirst for adventure.

On June 4th, 1783, the Montgolfier brothers, Joseph-Michel and Jacques-Étienne, achieved a monumental feat by successfully launching a hot air balloon in Annonay, France.

The balloon, filled with heated air, soared high above the ground, marking the dawn of a new era in aviation.

Hot air ballooning keeps its title as the safest form of aviation by maintaining its record of the least fatalities.
