She had two motives - helping her boyfriend's competing business and shutting Jack up about their secret love affair. The weapon was the hammer she used in her job. Join us Saturday, March 23 for the 2nd Annual La Conner Murder Mystery!

It is 1924 in La Conner, Washington. Prohibition is in full swing, with bootleggers sailing to Vancouver Island by night and returning with illegal liquor. A known rumrunner has been found murdered downtown. It is up to you to interview the suspects, gather the clues, sift through the evidence, and decide who the guilty party is.

Bonnie McClyde is the murdered rumrunner's moll. She can often be found drinking cocktails and dancing the Charleston at the town speakeasy, which her boyfriend supplies with liquor. She says she would do anything for her bootlegging swell ... but how deep do her loyalties really lie? Interview her and the other suspects to discover who committed the crime!

Week 10 The Case of the Slain Slough Swindler.

The caravan family boarded the ship in Olympia. Each one inhaled the fresh water, enjoying the landscape that altered from mountains to farms. Daisy sketched non-stop, Walter took notes as the ship slowly edged up the waterway, and Naughty started singing and grabbed the arms of Charlie, Leif, Sam and Louisa spinning them around while they all stomped their feet and clapped each other’s hands. Bertha shivered in the ship’s winds until Phil wrapped her in his white lab coat. Kassandra nervously jingled her hotel keys when they passed a community where the post office, mercantile store, and hotel stood in a row next to the town’s welcome sign. Claude kept twisting his body side to side, touching his toes knowing he would need strength to chop the lumbar in just days. The ship edged through the slough slowly. The caravan family saw the La Conner sign. They stood in front of the ship waving back, shouting hello. There was a loud scream from the stern followed by a cry “Don’t please don’t.” No one heard the scream as they continued to shout at the people who lined the wharf. The ship quietly slid to the dock and the caravan family walked into their new city.

Collect clues, question suspects, gather information and make your accusation! The reveal will at 5:15 PM in Maple Hall 104 Commercial St. Ticket are available the day of the event at the La Conner Chamber of Commerce office.
