Conch Shell Island. Fishermen throw their empty shells here so that every coch found on the ocean floor is a live conch. No exact numbers, but it's thought that there are over 2 million shells here many dating back over hundreds of years. It's been a busy season so far and our guests are loving Turtle's Nest! 5/5
A marvelously delightful house.
It's just the right size and filled with all the amenities we could use. One of the reasons it is so enjoyable is everything we need is already here - no hunting or running out to purchase items. The sensational view both inspires and relaxes at the same time. If I didn't leave the deck I would spend my entire time just staring out and sleeping outside.

Turtle's Nest is top notch! We HIGHLY recommend it. It was immaculate. The location is great with a totally private and quiet setting. The villa is beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable inside and out. The bed was super comfy, the kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed, the shower had great water pressure and we really enjoyed the beach chairs, noodle, coolers and beach bags. The living room sofa was very comfortable for relaxing at the end of our exciting day at the gorgeous beaches and exploring the island. The porch furniture was also extremely comfortable and we loved being able to dine outside on the beautiful table and chair set while watching the birds. Tammy & staff were wonderful and always quick to respond to questions. We loved our first trip to St. John and hope to return to Turtle's Nest again someday. Thank you to Tammy and staff for making our 25th wedding anniversary trip so special and memorable.

Thank you to our wonderful guests for another 5 star review! There are not enough stars to say how happy we were staying at this place. The house is a perfect spot for a couple's getaway on St. John. We just loved it from the time Katja checked us in to when we had to leave. The house has everything you need to make you feel at home. It was so comfortable, peaceful and relaxing. We look forward to our next stay there.

"This stay was amazing! The host(s) were so very responsive and accommodating, it made the whole trip so much easier! You will need a 4x4 to get up the driveway as well as around St. John in general and we utilized a grocery store over by the round-a-bout which was large enough for us to find anything we needed. Bring lots of sunscreen and your personal hygiene supplies as it is quite expensive there (it is an island after all). I absolutely loved this Villa and will be going back again! (Make sure you hit up as many beaches as you can! they are all so very different from each other!)"

"We recently spent two wonderful weeks at the Turtle's Nest Villa. We have stayed in a large number of homes in St John but this was the first time we stayed on the south side of the island and it will not be our last.

The villa is clean, comfortable and well maintained. I would say that this is this villa is in the best condition of all of the houses that we have rented. You literally drive up to the front door of the villa with no steps to navigate. The deck is a wonderful place to enjoy your morning coffee as well as an evening cocktail. The house has a much better WIFI connection than any other place that we have stayed.

There is a wonderful breeze that keeps you comfortable night and day. The appliance are new and the owners have made certain that the kitchen is well appointed with all of the utensils, pots and pans to do the all of the cooking that you desire.

As others have said, it is a fairly short commute to Cruz Bay but you feel like you are on your private island when in the villa. We thoroughly enjoy the beaches on the north shore and it worked out well as we would stop and buy lunch at the North Shore Deli on the way those the beaches!

We will definitely stay at Turtle's Nest again in the not too distant future! Thank you Tammy and Craig for sharing your little piece of paradise."
