Sound Sailing provides unforgettable sailboat charter adventures SE Alaska aboard S/V BOB - our comfortable 50' four cabin Catalina.

We are locals: Sitka residents for 13 years and Alaskans for 25 years. Our boat, S/V BOB - a Catalina 50, is modern roomy and comfortable completely equipped for your safety and comfort. We have 3 private guest cabins, each with a large double bed and a private head with shower. Our captain is licensed US Coast Guard Masters with extensive experience in SE Alaska. Charters are full service with al

l cooking done by the crew. We sail with a maximum of six participants each week. Most people bring a group of family or friends to fill the boat, but you can also take one or two cabins. We offer several itineraries, customizing the trip to match your interests. The boat will be provisioned according to your preferences and our specialty is fresh seafood that we catch along the way! We are one of the few companies selected to offer charters in Glacier Bay National Park, and we operate under permit in the Tongass National Forest and in Alaska State Marine Parks. Sailboat BOB holds fishing permits and is a sportfishing business registered with the Alaska Dept. of Fish & Game and NOAA. Additionally, we are 5-Star safety rated by the US Coast Guard.

This is the season of giving and our highly esteemed panel of judges (Monique and Blain) on S/V BOB have selected the recipients of our "1% for the Tongass" donations for the 2024 season...

Sitka Trail Works does so much good for the community of Sitka and the trails we love around the National Forest, State Parks, and City and Borough of Sitka lands- and we enjoy supporting, and volunteering with them.

The second group is the Tenakee Springs Bath House - which we treasure every visit to, and are so happy with the recent renovation.

And if you are a business owner - please consider starting your own support program for local non-profits in your community. All for the good.
