It is with terrible sadness that I tell you of the passing of Susie Musgrove last night. She was a friend of many years and one of the finest, kindest people you would ever want to meet.

It is with great sadness that I announce that I cannot bring myself to return to Solaris, much as I love the place. Without my Barbara it is too painful for me.

I would like to sell my membership to someone who can use it. Briefly it includes the following:

1 - 5 weeks per year until 2036 at any Solaris resort but not during Christmas or Easter week.
2 - A one bedroom, ocean front room with terrace and the adjoining room; sleeps at least 6, perhaps 8...don't remember if the smaller room has a sofa bed like the big one. Each room has a full bath and the large one has a fridge, microwave, sink dishes cutlery and china.
3 - No charge for the room...you pay only the all inclusive charge which ranges from $70/person/night to $140/person/night for 2023 (changes annually) depending on the season.
4 - Members get premium alcohol , two free excursions/week, a members breakfast and dinner (you'll have the opportunity, but not the obligation to make a complete fool of yourself at the breakfast on a stage), a members bar at the Royal and other goodies.
5 - The transfer fee is only $50 and there are no maintenance fees of any kind.

Not including this year there are 13 years to go; I have a last minute medical problem this year and couldn't go at the last minute so there is a bit more than $5,900 prepaid towards a future stay on account.

I am asking $15,900 for the contract which is only really $10,000 after deducting the funds on account. Over 455 days (13 x 5x7) that amounts to $35/night for both rooms! I have not used it for 3 years due to Covid and a health problem and I don't know if those weeks are lost. I'm sure the contracts department at the Royal could clarify it. All the weeks can be used by the contract owner or guests.
