Today has been the best "warm up" for newbies of an actual Florida summer day. Sort of. If you are thinking it's humid today after a little bit of rain, just wait until it's a few degrees warmer AND the humidity hits after a full blown Florida rainy season storm blows through.
This is basically what every day from mid June through September consists of; early morning foggy glasses, the blast furnace door is open from about 11 a.m. until the sun goes down, torential rain and the worst lightning you've ever seen arrives around 3 p.m., all of the rain and lightning is gone by 3:30 p.m., now the REAL humidity hits and you can't walk outside without sweating a gallon per minute, the sun starts to set and the mosquitoes launch their daily assault on all humans, it still feels like 90 degrees at 9 p.m. and the humidity isn't going anywhere and lastly you give up and go to bed.
Now repeat that for about 120 days.
Oh, and throw in an ocassional panic attack from looking at the tropics. :)
