🥵#Boknal refers to the hottest days of summer, occurring in July and August. These days, known as “chobok” (beginning), “jungbok” (middle), and “malbok” (end), are part of the lunar calendar and are believed to be the peak of summer heat. (Today is Chobok - no kidding!)
🐓During Boknal, it’s common to eat “samgyetang,” a nutritious chicken soup made with ginseng, jujubes, garlic, and rice stuffed inside a whole chicken. Eating this hot soup on hot days is thought to balance the body’s heat and enhance stamina. Sounds like a crazy idea, huh? But it works! #이열치열
