I want to thank everyone who voted yesterday and a big congratulations to my friend and co-worker, Peggy Miles!!! We will still be a team and serve the citizens together!

Tomorrow is election day for those who have not already voted. This is an important day for everyone. It is a chance for every American citizen to say who they want to govern our state and local offices. I am asking for your vote tomorrow for the city clerk of Hoxie. I have experience and knowledge in our local governmental operations. I started at Hoxie City Hall in 1997 and have worked over the years with every single mayor since Mayor J.M. Johnson was in office. I also had the privilege to work with two city clerks, Pat Gibbs and Katie Smith. I am a sad to see Mrs. Katie leave her office for the lavish life of retirement. She has been an excellent clerk and there is not anyone who can fill her shoes. However, someone has to take her place to handle the city's obligations and I am not only qualified but eager to learn and do whatever is necessary to make the transition as smooth as possible for the citizens of Hoxie. I am dependable, knowledgeable and ready to serve the citizens as your new city clerk! Thank you for your consideration and have a great evening!

I am running for City Clerk of Hoxie in the election this year, which will be held November 6, 2018. I started with the city in December 1996, on my 18th birthday, as a volunteer firefighter. I became employed as a dispatcher with the police department in June 1997 and then as administrative assistant to the mayor and city clerk in November 1997. I have had the honor of working with every single mayor since 1997 as well as two city clerks--Clerk Pat Gibbs and our current, soon to be retired, Clerk Katie Smith. I am currently working with at the city as the billing clerk for Hoxie Water Works. I have three beautiful daughters- MaKenzie is a Freshman at CRA and is the lead guitarist for the 4-H Sand Creek Band. Kaylyn plays the flute and is in the 7th grade. Maddyson is in kindergarten and both attend Hoxie School. I love this town, the people and the area. I will continue to work diligently every day to make Hoxie even better!
