Pictured is one of the meals we made on our Sunday night BBQ. It was Smoked Brisket (which only took 10 minutes to heat up, caramelizing the onions and air frying the french fries took longer to cook than the meat, which is really a convenience for the busy cook in the family). The meat is prepared before it arrives. The ingredients are all ingredients I would use making it homemade myself, only I don't have to spend hours doing smoking it. They send a sauce with the meat dishes you order. In this case, I wanted to make it with a BBQ sauce, so I only added a drizzle of BBQ sauce and the caramelized onions.

The french fries were just fries, salt, pepper, and a little coconut oil. Then add some fruit and veggies on the side and you have a perfectly balanced meal in 10 to 15 minutes.

Best of all, travel advisors work off commission meaning it is no extra cost to you to get help planning your next trip (there are occasional booking fees for airfare or large party trips, but otherwise completely to you, and those are discussed up front). You might be asking how that is possible...

Here is the scoop. It's possible because hotels and other vacation entities find it cheaper to pay a commission to a travel advisor or agent than pay a monthly subscription to an OTA (Online Travel Agency). So these companies offer commission to the travel agent or advisor and many times offer additional perks to the traveler for the same cost (or in some cases less) through the agent or advisor. Travel advisors earn their money from commissions on booking hotels, cruises, on-the-ground activities, and more. Best of all, the companies pay that commission in exchange for connecting you to them. There is no added cost to the person traveling. Companies do this because a small commission (and the extra perks they offer to the traveler) is far cheaper for a hotel to pay than listing with an online travel agency (OTA)... This is why booking with an agent or advisor is a benefit. There is no additional cost to you, and the companies often offer great perks because they hope you'll return to them in the future. Please note that advisors don't book AirBNBs and often don't book airfare, but airfare is a great place to use your points and let your advisor (like me) get you the deals on other things.

Most advisors (like me) don't charge a booking fee (I love planning trips, and the commissions are more than enough), with the exceptions of booking airfare (since there is usually no commission on airfare) or super large party bookings that can take a lot of extra work to book and organize. But those booking fees are discussed upfront. There should never be any hidden fee charges that come along when working with an agent or advisor.
