Mom and I are off again! It’s a doozy of an adventure this time! Next stop Detroit! Then on to Amsterdam for a few days before we board an Avalon Waterways River Cruise! I am going to to be posting tons of our adventures on Instagram and TikTok! Plus you can now follow Grammie Go with Grammie on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok! I am missing Jeff Grace and my kids terribly after being spoiled all weekend! But don’t fret, Jeff and I have an adventure on the horizon! We are sailing the Danube and ending in Munich to hit Oktoberfest! !

I am thrilled to share the news that I’ve been selected to attend the Female Leaders In Travel Conclave which will be held at Sandals Royal Bahamian, in Nassau.

As one of 55 women leaders attending this event, I am honored to be sitting at the same table among a group of women that are powerhouses in the travel industry.

This is one of my most favorite weeks of the year! I get all my babies under one roof! We love celebrating Morgan’s Birthday and the 4th of July in Ocean City Maryland together! Last night we went to Assateague Island National Seashore for a Bonfire with Melanie Todd Corbin and her family. Family, Friends, Fire and Ponies! It was a perfect night and the starts were amazing!

My job is far from what it looks like on social media. However it does have some pretty AMAZING perks. Days like yesterday make up for working 7 days a week 12 to 15 hour days, for missing my family and even sleeping in the airport.

Yesterday 27 Mad Hatter Adventures Travel Advisors took the 7 Beaches Excursion offered at Sandals Emerald Bay. I have no words! We are so incredibly grateful to be given this opportunity.

Our Story

My name is Mary and I own Mad Hatter Adventures, Travel company. We have been making MAGIC for 7 years. I absolutely LOVE what I do. Traveling is what I always want to be doing. I am either on a trip, returning from one or headed on another. One thing I hear all the time is I want to do what you do. Or I love your life. or even WORSE must be nice to get to travel all the time.

Hearing that got me thinking. I post a lot on social media, but what you see is 1% of what actually happens. SOCIAL MEDIA LIES! You see the post on social media that we CHOSE YOU TO SEE! Travel, owning a business, having a family, ITS MESSY! I have a husband and 3 children and 2 cats. I am very close with my mom and see her almost every day. I am in my 40’s and lucky enough to still have a mommom. I work 7 days a week, sometimes 15 hours a day. And when I am not at work, I am attached to my phone. My husband and children don’t think my job is that great. Although they do appreciate the perks.

Yes I own my own company, but I answer to a lot of people. I feel a great responsibility to my Mad Hatter Family. Many have become more than friends and I consider them my extended family. I hear often that working at Mad Hatter Adventures, is more like joining a sorority than it is a job. Don’t be fooled, we WORK HARD! We just play HARDER!

This job has brought some amazing people into my life. People I can’t imagine my life without. It has also brought some truly terrible people into my life. Honestly, nothing is off limits to me. I plan on sharing it all. The good, the bad, the LIARS and the hot mess that we all are. Want to know something, just ask!
